Chapter 1- The Meeting

Sophia’s POV
It was late at night when I got home from my work. I thought that I should get a nice view of the clear night sky to ease myself.
When I got at my veranda, I immediately looked at the stars, wondering what lies beyond them.
After few minutes I found a shooting star. Which reminded me of something from my past.
A few years ago.
“Sophia come here” Grandpa said. “You too, Alice” he added. I walked to him.
“What is it grandpa?” I asked. “I want to show you something my children.” He replied.
He gestured to the sky. “Look at the stars and if you find a shooting star make a wish and that wish you make will come true.” He said to the children.
“Really? Is that true grandpa?” Alice asked.
“Yes Alice. It had happened when I was young. I made a wish and someone appeared in front of me telling me that he will help me fulfill my wish.” He said.
“Who was that man grandpa?” I asked eagerly. “He was an ...”
Present
“I wish that...” I murmured to myself.
“Did you say something Sophia?” Someone said behind me.
“huh?” I said while turning my head to the area where the sound came from.
“I said did you say something?” She said.
“Alice! You surprised me!” I yelled. Before Alice can utter another word I said “When did you get here and how?” I added glaring at my little sister.
“Don’t use that glare on me Sophia. You yourself know that it doesn’t affect me.” Alice replied while rolling her eyes.
I sighed “Yes. Now why are you here?” I asked
“I’ll answer that if you answer my question first” She stated.
“Ok. Fire away Alice.” I said. “What did you say earlier something about...um...′ I wish something ′ was that right” She asked.
“I saw a shooting star that made me remember what grandpa said to us when we were little kids so... yeah I made a wish” I said
“Oh...what did you wish for?” She asked. “It’s a secret” I said while sticking out my tongue and running away from her.
“Oh! Come on Sophia tell me!” Alice shouted while catching up to me. “No! I will NEVER tell you my secret Alice even if you are my little sister.” I shouted at her.
“I hate you Sophia. Please! Please tell me!” She yelled. “That’s not true Alice. I know you and you don’t hate me. You LOVE me!” I added while smiling like a little kid.
“As much as I want to disagree with you... you are right.” She said almost like a whisper that I thinked I didn’t hear her right.
“What did you say Alice?” I asked.
“Nothing! Let’s go inside. It’s getting cold! ” She yelled.
“Sure!” I said. “Are you hungry” I asked Alice.
“Yeah. I’m famished.” she replied “Come on i’ll make you something. What do you want to eat?” I asked. “Let’s go for spaghetti” She said cheerfully.
I laughed at her reply. ” Ok sure. Anything else?” I said. She just shook her head and went to the living room to watch the television. While I was cooking I listened to some music, which was ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi
“So why are you here again?” I asked her while eating my dinner.
“I missed you Sophia and I was kind of...you know lonely back in England so why not visit you in Italy plus I needed some time for myself. Away from work, from everyone.” She said to me.
“Are you sure” I asked while feeling insecure of her reason. I kniw that my sister came here for another reason. She doesn’t just visit someone because she misses them.
“Yup.” She said while popping the letter P. “Ok.. Just remember that i’m always here for you Alice.” I said while holding her hand.
She smiled at me. “Thanks sis. I know you’ll be here when I need someone to talk to.” She said to me. “You can stay here as long as you want..ok?” I said to her.
She just nodded and continued on eating her dinner.
While watching a movie in the living room we heard a ‘thud’ in the back door.
“Did you hear that?” Alice asked. “Yeah.” I replied. “Let’s go look at it.” She said while getting to the place where we heard the sound. I sighed and followed her lazily.
“Sophia!” She shouted. “I’m coming!” I yelled back at her.
When I was already behind her. “What is it?” I asked. “Uh...i-i’m sure i’m not dreaming but...do you see that creature?” She said while stuttering her first words. “Pinch me Sophia.” She added.
I looked at the place where she was staring and I was shocked on what I saw. It isn’t an everyday scene to see something out of the ordinary.
“W-what is that thing?” I muttered under my breath even though I know clearly what I saw. “Sophia?” Alice said beside me. I looked at her and she did the same thing.
“Uh.. do you remember what grandpa told us when we were kids, right? Something about wishing and someone showing up after.” She said and I nodded at her. “You made a wish earlier right?” She added.
“Yeah b-but I didn’t think what grandpa said a long time ago was real though, I thought it was just a story he made up.” I said to her.
We both looked at the creature laying on the floor of our veranda.
It was beautiful. It was an unconscious angel.
A few moments of staring at it. It woke up and looked at us with confused looked and said
“I’m Nathaniel. As you can see...probably. I’m an angel and i’m here to help you fulfill your wish.” He said to us and before we could even reply he added. “So.. who’s the one who made a wish?”
I looked at him and shift my gaze to the person beside me and I said. “We are dreaming aren’t we? Tell me Alice it’s not real.”
She looked at me and said. “No Sophia. uh...we aren’t dreaming. Everything we saw today..” she looked at Nathaniel, the Angel. “is real.“she said
I looked at him and said “H-hi. You asked who made the wish right?” He nodded. “It was me who made the wish.”
He smiled. “Hi. Nice too meet you. I’m here to help you fulfill that wish of yours” He said.
The only reaction I got from Alice is smirk which I don’t know the reason why she did that.
“So...when do we start” He asked so suddenly.
“We’ll start...” I said to him.
