A very clean version of a prison novel
"This is a gentle, clean take on a grumpy x sunshine prison romance story. The author writes well, and in a readable way with good gramma and punctuation. If you want something light and easy to read it is worth considering. This story is set on a prison Island. The female lead (Lena) is placed there by mistake and then forced to survive amongst a population of criminals. The story feels very ‘clean’ and ‘sanitised’. There are a lot of genuinely ‘good’ characters and people who are friendly without ulterior motives, which is a little unexpected for the genre. If you are expecting gritty, dark characters and anti-heroes then you may be looking in the wrong place. The plot feels very convenient and there are a few points where it feels that the way the characters respond to events do not represent realistic responses. For example when Lena is granted privileges the other characters do not ask/demand/beg or even try to convince her to share with them - even though what she is granted is something that all of the other people on the island would desperately want. But if you can look past this the writing is solid. "
