Kishawi Ghanish
Hello. I’m Kishawi Ghanish, a university student. My friend call me Kiwi, in short ( which I hate ). Even if I say them not to call me that, they just ignore and say “omg. I’m sorry. I forgot. I’ll not do that next time.” They don’t even keep their word. I wake at 6 while wanting to wake up at 5. Goes into the class in sleepy mode. No need to talk about languages classes, I’ll be fast asleep on my desk. Maths and science is like learning how to fly without wings. It goes in from one ear and goes out from another. It’s not that my parents forced me to take science, I just came because my friends took the same course.
I’m completely an ordinary person, has no special or hidden talent. But still my friends keep encouraging me to try and find my own talent. Because my friends, Nayana and Abilashini found their own talent by using a very treading and new app called, ‘Unveil the veil'. They both already found their own talent. Nayana- has good artistic skills and Abilashini has in singing. My both besties are very talented and pretty compared to me, I’m… no need to mention me.
Despite saying no, they convinced (forced) me to use that app. This app is like guidance in finding your own talent. It provides the nearest classes available on dancing, singing, drawing and many more. There are option of online classes also. It also provides recipes of different dishes and advices on diet and fitness.
After listening to their long naggings, I finally decided to download it. I started trying it one by one daily.
Finding hidden skills: Day 1
Studying
So I suddenly decided studying. Not that I’m weak in studies, my marks are average, so average that I always get scolding from my mom after I get my exam results. So I sat down, opened a random page of random textbook and looked at the clock. It was 7:30pm. Read two lines but felt as if I read a whole page, looked at the clock again, 7:35. Again started reading but this time, I felt sleepy so I grabbed my phone. Looking at the clock, it was 9:00. Seriously, I didn’t even watch much. I threw my phone onto the sofa and looked at the book. Next day, I woke up on the same page that I started. My life is so miserable.
Finding hidden skills: Day 2
Cooking
Not like I don’t know the basics of cooking. I know to make tea or coffee, bread omelettes and putting jam on bread slices. I usually order takeout if I feel too lazy. Today, I wanted to test (awaken) my cooking skills. I bought all the necessary items required to make my chosen recipe. All utensils, check. Items, check. Recipe, check. All necessary preparations, done.
…
Now I’m confused. The recipe was about how to make Gulab jamun then why does my dish look like a burnt Golibaje. I gave it to a street dog. I don’t know whether I should be happy or sad. The dog, which tasted my handmade food, ran away and never to be seen again.
Finding hidden skills: Day 3
Learning Yoga
So using this, Unveil the veil app, I got myself enrolled into yoga classes. By keeping loud and multiple alarms, I finally woke up at 4:55. Went to class, at 5, thankfully. I tried doing my best but I kept falling off balance and making a fool of myself. Before leaving the class, my yoga teacher called me and complimented me,
“You are too great, so I am afraid that I can’t teach you anymore. I’m sorry but please do not attend any classes on yoga.”
Just like that, my dream of becoming yoga teacher was shattered.
Finding hidden skills: Day 4
Instruments
I gathered my enthusiasm again and went in for online instrumental class. I already have piano in my house. Wanna know how it ended up in my house?
One day, I ‘accidentally' listened to a random piano concert and begged (forced) my mother to buy me one. That’s it. But I never got to learn it because when I did, my mother coaxed my to never touch it again.
Now it’s my chance, I must use it. (Spirit of fighter)
Just touched few keys and then my tutor said that my notes do not match the original. I was heartbroken. Realized Music is just not for me.
Finding hidden skills: Day 5
Singing
I thought no offline or online classes this time. Thus, I downloaded ‘Vocal mic' app to learn singing. The result, you say? I was utterly humiliated. I sang one of my favourite song, at last the system said, ‘I’m sorry to say this but you have no talent for singing.’ Now, it became my hatest song.
Like that, I stopped searching for skills. (It’s useless)
I said my depressing story to my friends and they laughed so hard that they could’ve die. They recommended me to a doggy sitting centre as I love dogs. I listened to recommendation and went on Sunday. It was horrible than horrible. It was not even 10 minutes, the dogs started jumping on me in excitement as if they were gonna kill me.
You may have seen two men fighting over a girl but I bet you have never seen two dogs fighting over me. Again, My life is so miserable. The care taker suggested me to work there as I was a human dog nip. I said I would consider that. I left the centre thinking never to step in there. But as always, life is completely unpredictable.
One day, I attended a seminar on machine language. That awoke the hidden interest in me. I started learning ML in great interest aspiring to be a hacker, and I actually became one.
Now, I have become an anonymous hacker, expert in ethical hacking which is required by many authorized companies and also a member in that same doggy sitting centre. You can say that I have mastered the way of handling dogs and puppies.
You may not be good in everything but you’ll definitely be best in something. All the best trying to find your hidden skill. I was once as unskilled person but now, I am the most successful person doing doggy care at day time and masked hacker at night with a code of
