🌸 I Think It’s Something Like Love 🌸

I used to laugh the loudest in class,

Scribble on benches, let the minutes pass.

Lunch breaks meant gossip and chips to share,

No thoughts too heavy, no hearts to spare.

Then he sat two benches behind,

Not loud, not shy—just the quiet kind.

He’d look out the window, head on his hand,

Like he knew a secret I’d never understand.

I noticed him once… then once again,

His smile like sunshine after the rain.

He helped me pick up fallen pens,

And laughed at jokes I told at ten.

My friends would tease, but I’d deny—

“It’s nothing! Just school,” I’d roll my eyes.

But then he asked if I liked that song,

And suddenly, I didn’t feel so strong.

Why did my cheeks feel so warm?

Why did my heart beat like a storm?

Why did I write his name in my book…

A thousand stars with every look?

Now, the bell rings, and I look for him,

Every glance feels soft, never dim.

Maybe it’s silly, maybe it’s wild,

But I’m just a heart, a teenage child.

I don’t know what love fully means,

But I know it fits between school day dreams.

Maybe it’s small, or maybe it’s true…

All I know is—I like him too.
