my name is Ava Thornhill , everyone at school knows our family's name. Why because my Dad is the Ceo of Thornhill enterprises that's where he has special programs with freezing pods where you can be frozen for years he is a doctor and studies illness to save lives. My brothers are also smart Jake my oldest brother who lives in college and is studying biology. He is twenty two years old, Then there's Eli he's in a band he's a genius at school but doesn't like it much. Last but not least there's cole he plays football both Eli and cole are close in age seventeen and eighteen I'm the youngest sixteen. Eli and cole were driving me to a summer night party " Dont worry Ava , no one will bother we got your back okay." Cole says smiling at me " " yeah , how will either of you do that with your tongues in your girlfriend's mouths?" I say to them both laughing Eli parks the car as we exit, their girlfriends Jenna and Hailey who are best friends begin too smother my brothers with kisses. I roll my eyes walking away heading over to a bonfire to see my best friend Ash. He's on cole's football team, we've been best friends since third grade now I don't know how too tell him that I am in love with him. Because I'm afraid he won't like me back the same way. " hey Ash , what's wrong you look down?" I ask him worriedly he sighs looking at me shyly " I wasn't sure if you were coming or not " he says I raise my eyebrow at him nudging him " what's really wrong Ashton you don't seem yourself " he places his football on the ground and sighs looking towards the beach where a girl in Eli's class named Sadie hart stands as she drinks from a plastic cup with Jenna and Hailey. I look over at her sighing heavily " I'm sorry Ash, your an amazing guy any girl at our school be lucky to date you ." He smiles at me hugging me " thanks Ava you always know what to say " Cole called Ash over to play ball along the beach , Eli was playing beer pong with friends so I decided to go for a walk along shore of the beach. That's when Jenna and Hailey walked over with sadie . Out of nowhere Jenna shoves me to the ground gripping my hair laughing as she dumps beer on me " Poor ava, your brothers only let you join because your a Thornhill. You are a loser ! You'll never amount to what they are!" She says shoving me into the water as I try to gasp for air. I can hear cole and Eli voice " you bitch ! Leave now!" No one knew our family was werewolves except ash Eli's wolf came out the most when he got mad so he had to becareful. Next thing I knew I was in my bed at home Eli had a tray of soup for me and cole had his phone ready on video call with Jake on call . I wave to him smiling at him " Thank god you're okay! Ava, listen I already told cole and Eli I'm on my way home dad is gone on a work trip for two weeks and you dont have a wolf. You need too be protected properly " he says Eli sighs looking at him " That's not fair , we got rid of Jenna and Hailey. " Ash leans against the doorway " yeah but you knew they constantly teased Ava at school. Yet you both still dated them, hope that piece of ass was worth hurting your own sister for." Eli stands up angirly shoving him I whistle at them " Enough! Both of you everyone is looking out for me I appreciate it. I was trying to get sadie to reconsider going on a date with you Ash, and all I was doing was invinting the girls too our place this weekend for a pool party so I can get to know them better, then Jenna shoved me called me a loser saying I...." cole and my brothers look at me . " what did she say?" Cole asks concerned " that I wouldn't amount to what you guys are." I cover my face crying Eli and cole hug me tightly Jake speaks up before hanging up " Eli, cole go talk too those girls who hurt our sister now! Ash can stay and watch her for a few hours " my brothers left and ash stayed watching a movie with me. ( Eli pov) Cole and I arrived at Jenna's within a half hour. He sighs looking at me " you got this bro" he says encouraging me as we step out the jeep. Jenna immediately opens her door excitedly I know I have too stay calm or my wolf will fully emerge. I glare at her with frustration " Jenna stop, cole and I came to talk too you about you almost killing our sister. " she acts shy plays dumb " oh Eli She slipped I was trying to help her " " Lies!" Cole growls angirly at her " Ava invited you and Hailey to a pool party at our place this weekend to get too know you girls better, she was being nice that's how you repay her by trying to drown her!" Cole states getting heated Jenna sighs rolling her eyes " yeah, so what she invited us. But why would anyone want to go to her silly party anyway, I mean everyone at our school thinks your sister is a loser." I couldn't help myself I grabbed her by the neck holding her in the air as cole tried to stop me just then a car pulled up as Jake got out " Drop her!" He says in his demanding tone I let her down gently as Jenna begins to cough. Jake kneels down infront of her " you ever try to harm Ava again I'll be the one you deal with understand?" Jenna nods at him afraid as she runs back inside. ( ash pov ) I put popcorn in my mouth " I bet your brothers will yell at jenna for what she did to you." Ava sighs " they are always in my space ash, today Eli said before he left safe sex." She leans her head on my shoulder sighing heavily I sigh looking at her " they just care about you ava so do I" I explain to her suddenly the power goes out as we both hear a loud noise from downstairs. I cover ava's mouth as I peek downstairs seeing the son of their rival pack who's been longtime friends with Jake and his brothers since they were children. His name is Alex of the Lightwood pack , Ava crawls on her knees next too me looking down in shock. Whispering to me " that's Alex!" I couldn't have ava know that I was part of her pack that's why her brother's trusted me so much to look out for her . I had shifted when I was nine years old when my mom died infront of me. Her family knew the same pain going to thornridge was the only chance to get too be a normal kid. Only problem is her brother eli had a harder time controlling his wolf then I did. Jake and cole were able too keep calm in any situation except when ava got hurt. As for me , my wolf came out one night infront of her brother's while ava was getting ready for a school dance they took me aside. I looked back down stairs and then went to speak to ava she was gone she was already headed too talk to alex and his friends. I couldn't let her get hurt she tapped alex's shoulder he tossed the book he had in his hand acting tough infront of his friends. (Ava pov) I angirly folded my arms " Alex Lightwood, how dare you come to our home and destroy memories after you've been best friends with my brothers since you were kids. You should be ashamed Alex." He leaned smirking at his friends " Ava you grew up , but your brothers aren't here to help you " he snapped his fingers his friends left the room as he was about to pin me to the wall Ash jumped over the railing I looked at him in shock he had claws and pointy ears fur around his chin he was a werewolf why didn't he tell me? I wondered Alex grinned attacking Ash as ash shifted fully bitting him on his leg and upper body Alex shifted back as my brothers arrived home Jake sighed heavily " get him out my sight!" He shouted angirly when ash shifted back I hugged him crying Eli sighed helping me up " come on ava cole and Jake will fix him up" he says helping too my room. I sat in bed confused " Eli did you know about Ashton?" He sighs tilting his head " yes we knew but he was afraid you what we'd all think if we knew tge truth " I lean forward in my bed raising my eyebrow confused " what do you mean Eli?" I gently grip his shirt crying cole and Jake hear me rushing in Eli looks over at them " she's upset about Ashton " Eli says too them cole tilts his head confused as he sits on my bed " Ah look at thus way Ava you have one more brother to watch over you." I pause looking at him confused " Brother?!" I scream crying hysterically Eli sighs looking at him fustratedly " I hadn't told her yet idiot " " Told me what!?" I ask them curiously Ashton pushes past them " I'll explain everything to her, you can all go " he says boldy. They leave he sits in the chair across from me sighing heavily " I'm really sorry Ava , I didn't want you find out this way. " " so it's true ash you're my brother?" I ask him curiously he nods as tears roll down his cheek " Ava we have the same biological father you and I are twins non identical. He didn't want me in the pack because I'm hybrid my mother was a maid in the dragon clan she used to be queen but they thought she couldn't birth an heir so they cut her wings off and sent her to work for your father ....our father. He took her to bed not knowing until we were born that I was hybrid you he kept because you smelt of wolf she died at birth. " he explains I scooch closer to the edge the bed looking at him confused I begin to cry heavily he looks at me concerned " hey ava what's wrong?" I look at him " Ash , you had no idea did you that I had feelings for you? " he sighs heavily looking away " yes I knew ava which why I didn't want to tell you about this, are you going to be alright ava? " I sigh heavily hugging him tightly " so I have one more brother , yeah I'll be okay aslong as all four of you don't shadow over me my entire life. " he laughs slightly " Ava, we just care about you " " But you'll never be what I want you to be" he sighs looking sadly at me " No I'm sorry Ava , that will never happen with me but one day you'll meet someone you do care about " I get up out of bed and run out the front door my brothers look at me following me as does Ashton. The person I thought I could trust, and knew that I thought I may spend forever with turned out to be a liar and my brother which meant my father was lying to me too. I had to find out the truth even if it killed me that night I headed into the woods to visit the Witches house Estelle see what she knew about our family. I knew my brothers would track my scent quickly I could see Ashton flying in the sky above the trees. Finally I reached her house knocking on the door she immediately opened it " Ava Thornhill, your far from home get inside its dangerous out here" she says I sit down quietly " Estella do you know about my family?" She sits down glaring at me confused " what do you want to know child?" " Did my father mistakenly mate with a dragon queen and have me and Ashton, later banishing him?" She sighs looking at me " so you've met your twin then , yes there's a prophecy which states that when a hybrid is born he is to become king and his Luna will be queen. Taking power over all the packs. Your father was threatened by Ashton because of his power so before he could even learn what he was he sent him away. Your brothers did everything to talk him out of it but he wouldn't budge infact its why Jake left too search for him. You ended up finding him as a child at school. By then your father was taking alot of trips overseas, so your brothers were in charge of you. They would let Ashton come over because they knew who he was , Ashton only found out a few months ago he came to see me." She explained suddenly there was banging on the door it was Eli and cole " Ava come out please " Estelle sighs opening the door raising her eyebrow at him " Eli, could you not break my door please. She's fine , she's talking to me that's all. " Eli and cole hug me tightly " ava don't ever run off again. " she looks at me as Ashton stands in the doorway " she didn't run because she was scared , ava ran because she's heartbroken " my brothers look at me sadly cole kneels down infront of me as I begin to cry " ava please tell us" " I was in love with Ash okay! Now..." I hide my face crying Jake sighs taking off his glasses " call dad it's time Ava says what she needs to say" Eli nods at him. Leaving the room to call him, I notice ash left the room aswell. Our father arrived within an hour I was sitting at the kitchen table with cole after they brought me home from Estella 's. Father sat down glaring at me angirly he then slapped me across the face my brothers quickly grabbed his arms as he pulled away. " Dad are you insane!? She came to you for help " Eli says angirly Jake sighs heavily looking at dad " Dad explain yourself!" He demanded " Falling in love with siblings in our pack is forbidden!" He shouts at me angirly I stand up slamming my fist on the table angirly glaring at him my eyes glowing yellow " You bastard! You are the one who lied too me all these years about Ashton, not only that Jake , cole and Eli knew too you dragged them into it told them not to say anything too me . If you ever lay a hand on me again I'll banish you!" He sits back in his seat in shock and confusion. " how dare you , you can't banish me." He says angirly Eli sighs looking at him shrugging " Actually dad she can , technically she's the next queen in line" our father stands glaring at me " well I herd what you did with Ashton your own twin brother! Your disgusting ava kissing your own brother " he says Ashton butts in adruptly " we never kissed! Now you're telling lies to hurt ava . Enough! Before you not only piss me off but Jake, cole and Eli aswell. You caused this mess by sending me away in the first place all shifters already co exist what does it matter if you love another kind ? " Ashton says too him annoyed he sighs leaning forward looking down " Ava , I owe you an apology when I was about twenty five years old I already had three sons and was alpha of my pack by thirteen. When I was twenty five a maid was hired here at the mansion, while I was still mated and married to your brothers mom Bella. One day bella caught me and this maid together, then next thing I know you two are on my door step. So when I found out ash was a hybrid dragon I thought he was dangerous sent him away . You didn't have a wolf so we kept you, I had no idea you and Ashton 's mother was Queen of the dragons until you got to my door step and I read the letter from her. " Ashton stands behind me along with my other brothers " you told me she died during child birth was that a lie too?!" I shout at him angirly as my brothers hold me back " yes, it was a lie I couldn't have you go searching for her going to the dragon clan when we are at war with them. " I glare at him angirly " we are at war with them because you lied about my past. Because your a coward you don't deserve to be called alpha anymore, Jake you're in charge now. I'm going too find my mother Ashton are you coming?" He nods at me as he and my brothers follow me out the door. Now I just had to find her our mother with nothing to on it was like a needle in haystack.
