Chapter 1
(Maria sat inside the car.
Jungkook ignored YN’s question,
held her hand,
and led her into a nearby dark alley.
There, he gently pinned her against the wall,
came very close to her face,
and stared into her eyes with seriousness.)
Jungkook: I don’t care who’s in front of me,
or who’s around us,
or what people might think seeing the way I behave with you.
But always remember—
No matter what happens,
Even if centuries pass…
The place you have in my heart…
will never change.
And the way I feel for you…
that won’t change either.
(Then he cupped YN’s face from the side,
his fingers resting softly near her ear.
With his other hand,
he held her waist tightly,
pulling her closer so their bodies touched.
He brought his face even closer to hers—
so close that their noses were touching.
Then he whispered in a heavy voice—)
Jungkook (softly, breathing heavily): I’m warning you, YN…
If you ever again push me away just because someone else is around,
I swear…
I’ll kiss you right then and there, in front of everyone.
And I won’t stop…
Until we both run out of breath.
(YN’s eyes were closed…
Her breath was fast…
As soon as Jungkook finished his words,
she hugged him tightly around his neck.
Jungkook hugged her tightly in return.
Then YN whispered softly—)
YN (breathing heavily): Don’t say things like that, Jungkook…
Jungkook: Your actions will make me do it for real one day.
YN: Shut up. (She held onto his shirt tightly.)
Jungkook: Why?
YN: Let’s go… Maria must be waiting for us.
(After saying that, YN let go of him and turned to leave.
But just as she was walking away,
Jungkook caught her wrist,
pulled her back,
and hugged her from behind.)
Jungkook (softly): Don’t forget what I just said.
You know how serious I am about my words…
especially when it’s about you.
YN: (just nodded silently)
(Standing from a distance, Maria secretly watched both of them and started thinking in her mind.)
Maria's thought: Just a few more days, YN... Once I completely capture Jungkook’s heart and mind… Then I’ll erase you from his life so badly, like you never even existed.
