Summary

The text in the opening chapters contains a bold, unashamed erotic story. The introduction is a conversation with people who have mastered the ability to temporarily travel back in time. The main action then shifts to the era of Ancient Egypt. Although the story should thus be categorized as “Erotica/SciFi” or “historical fiction” or “fantasy,” it’s important to stress that it includes accurate knowledge about Ancient Egypt. Pharaoh Hatshepsut, a woman, was indeed sexually liberated; the family relations of Thutmose I and Thutmose II were incestuous; and the empire-builder Thutmose III—later hailed as the Napoleon of antiquity—almost certainly despised his predecessor. Historical figures in the story also include Senenmut, Neferure, Meritre, and Thutmose III’s lover Satiah. The erotic narrative sheds light on the ancient ritual of hieros gamos and similar behaviors, which could be described as group tantra. The final theoretical chapter makes readers aware that the abandonment of the sensual, erotic customs of the Ancient Egyptians — almost accidental, prompted by the need of a contemporary tribe to distinguish and solidify its identity — has had profound consequences, visible everywhere in modern societies.

Prologue

This book consists of two parts. The first is a daring, and I hope arousing, erotic story in the Erotica/Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Adventure genre.

The second part is dedicated to making readers aware that the well-organized and people-friendly ancient world, for very specific reasons, went down a different path—one whose consequences still affect us all today.

It’s worth noting that the adventure begins with a reminder of characters who possess the secret and technological ability to transfer their personalities to the past. These characters appeared in my other “hard science” works. The story begins with a conversation between Patritia and Bron.

It was a quiet Saturday afternoon. I was reading an interesting novel when my smartphone rang.

“Hello! Patrtia is speaking… I don’t know if you remember me, if you recognize me? We met two weeks ago at the conference in Cubbyhole. Remember? The talkative, slightly crazy brunette, thirty-one years old?”

“Oh, I remember you very well. At the last farewell meeting, you declared you’d like to have sex with several men at once. Too bad I had to leave so suddenly.”

“That’s me! Listen, I’m calling because I noticed that the conference materials have been published online. I read there that in her final lecture, Geneviève mentioned the Hieros Gamos ritual. I find that fascinating, actually—turns me on. Is this something you know more about?”

“You’ve come to the right person. I also think it’s a mysterious, unsolved phenomenon. There are at least two notable cultural works that refer to Hieros Gamos: Stanley Kubrick’s 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut and Dan Brown’s novel The Da Vinci Code.”

“I’m looking for someone who’d be interested in attempting to recreate that ritual—ordinary mortals trying to achieve such a trance, to have a ‘divine sex session, here and now, whenever they want.’ I thought I’d ask you if you’d be interested in trying.”

“That’s quite an ambition. Most sexual encounters are trivial, but you want to reach the heights. It will take intense thought and sharp ideas.”

“After we establish the theoretical foundations, we’ll need practical trials. Will you help me?”

“Agreed. Let’s refine the idea, adding improvements via SMS or email. Let’s start tomorrow. I’ll be waiting for your messages.”
