Chapter 1: Welcome to Eclipse Dorm
Chapter 1: Welcome to Eclipse Dorm
The moment you stepped onto the campus of Nightfall Academy, you realized this was no ordinary school. Towering gothic spires pierced the gray sky like ancient fangs, and the ivy crawling up the stone walls seemed to whisper secrets just out of earshot. The sprawling grounds were dotted with students clad in impeccably tailored uniforms, but the air was heavy with an unspoken tension—like everyone was keeping a secret, or maybe waiting for one to unfold.
You tightened your grip on your backpack straps and took a deep breath. New city, new school, new life. You could do this.
The transfer student orientation was a blur of faces and schedules, campus maps, and stern warnings about rules and curfews. The headmaster’s cold gaze lingered on you a little longer than necessary, and a strange chill ran down your spine. It was probably just nerves.
Your dorm assignment was the last thing handed out, and when you opened the envelope, your heart skipped a beat: Eclipse Dorm, Room 7.
You’d heard whispers about Eclipse Dorm—the mysterious residence supposedly reserved for “special” students, but no one talked about it openly. The building itself was at the far edge of campus, shrouded in shadow even during the brightest hours.
You found the heavy black iron gates of Eclipse Dorm locked tight. After a moment, the door creaked open by itself, and a tall figure stepped out from the shadows.
He was impossibly handsome, with dark eyes that seemed to shimmer with an otherworldly light. His raven-black hair fell perfectly around his sharp features, and his movements were graceful—too graceful.
“You’re the new transfer,” he said, voice smooth and calm.
You nodded, unable to find your voice.
“I’m Heeseung. Follow me.”
Inside, the dorm was dimly lit by chandeliers that cast dancing shadows across the ancient wooden walls. The scent of old books mixed with something faintly metallic hung in the air. Portraits of solemn figures with piercing eyes lined the halls, watching silently.
You were led down a spiral staircase and past seven doors.
“This is Room 7,” Heeseung said softly, pausing at the last door on the right.
Before you could speak, a second figure appeared, lighter hair, mischievous eyes, and a smirk that suggested he knew secrets you didn’t.
“I’m Jake,” he said, flashing you a grin. “Welcome to the madhouse.”
As you settled into your room, strange noises echoed through the dorm—whispers, footsteps that didn’t quite match any of the occupants, and the occasional flicker of unnatural light. You weren’t sure if you were imagining things or if Eclipse Dorm was hiding something far beyond your wildest expectations.
Over the next few days, you met the other residents of Eclipse Dorm: Sunghoon with his icy stare and effortless grace; Jay, always fiddling with gadgets and throwing teasing glances; Sunoo, calm and nurturing with a quiet smile; Jungwon, serious and protective, and Ni-ki, the youngest with a wild energy that was hard to contain.
They all seemed to share a secret—one that simmered beneath polite smiles and carefully chosen words.
One evening, you accidentally knocked over a glass of dark red liquid during dinner.
“Careful,” Sunghoon said, eyes narrowing. “That’s not juice.”
You blinked.
“It’s a blood substitute,” Jay explained, snickering. “We have to keep up appearances.”
Your pulse quickened. The pieces were starting to fit together. Eclipse Dorm wasn’t just any dorm—it was a sanctuary for vampires.
But you had secrets too.
You felt a strange warmth pulse beneath your skin sometimes, and your reflection in the mirror occasionally flickered—just for a second. You weren’t just a transfer student. You weren’t fully human either.
The chapter closes with you standing on the dorm balcony at midnight, looking out at the eclipse-streaked sky. The moon’s light bathes the campus in silver, and you sense that your new life at Nightfall Academy—and Eclipse Dorm—will be anything but ordinary.

I love this❤️
