Author's Notes
Hi there, amazing readers and writers! I encourage you to read the following in order to understand some things before diving into the story.
As you probably know, this story is based on Disney’s ‘Zombies 4.’ However, if you have not seen ‘Zombies 4’ or any of the ‘Zombies’ franchise, no need to worry! You can still read this story and entirely understand everything. I have made it my goal to write this in a way where someone who has never seen the ‘Zombies’ movies will still have a great experience. I just recommend that you see the movies first in order to find the small Easter eggs that come with knowing the background information.
However, even if you don’t watch the movie before reading this, I encourage you to listen to the soundtrack. Not only are the songs incredible, but I actually incorporated them into this story as well! I just created them as dialogue—including monologues between two characters and inner thoughts within Nova and Victor’s minds. Some scenes might be a bit more entertaining if you know the music behind them!
I want to give all credit to Disney and everyone involved in the creation of ‘Zombies 4.’ This fanfiction follows the same plot that the movie does, but I wanted to write the movie from the personal perspectives of Nova and Victor rather than an omniscient camera that also focuses on Zed and Addison.
I also want to say that a cool thing about this story is that you can read it in the way it’s set up—switching between Nova and Victor’s perspectives—or you can read one perspective at a time! All of the odd chapters portray Nova’s perspective, and all of the even chapters portray Victor’s perspective, so you could read all of the odd chapters first, then all of the even chapters, or vice versa!
In the end, this story is purely just for fun. I really enjoyed ‘Zombies 4’ when I watched it, and I loved the two new characters a lot, so I wanted to use my imagination and create what I imagined was happening in Nova and Victor’s heads during the movie.
With all this being said, I hope you enjoy my writing!
