Synopsis
The lost kingdom of Rivornis has been a legend whispered through the coastal town. A once thriving realm, it was said to be drowned by God in the middle of the ocean, due to its wrongdoings-abuse of power, and unjust rule. The kingdom vanished beneath the sea, taking its people with it. Since then, fishermen witness that the ocean glows at night, as if something ancient stir below. Some have followed the mysterious light, but it was too far to reach. They say that the people of the kingdom became mermaids and mermen as a punishment for their sins, their bodies never been found.
“Mother, do you think that it is true?” a little girl asked once asked.
Her mother only smiled, gently combing her daughter’s hair. “Yes, sweetheart.”
“How can you say it is true, Mother. Afterall, you never been there?”
“Just because we haven't witness something doesn't mean it isn't real.”
The salty breeze tangled in my brown curls. The ocean reflected a sky of orange and pink, so beautiful it felt like home. But despite that it also make my heart ached. As the waves kissed the shore with tender longing.I hugged my knees and put my head between.
It’s been decade since the accident happen. I was here with her… and in a blink, she was gone.
“Where are you, Mom? I’ve been here everyday waiting for you.” I let my words slip into the breeze, hoping they'd find her.
