"Bro, have you seen that trending new summoning ritual?" Xavier had said.
"Dude, summoning rituals are never real and don't work." Darren replied.
"Darren, it's a blood sacrifice we got to wait for Ryan, Chris and Tyler." Xavier said trying to convince Darren that it'd be scary and fun.
"A BLOOD SACRIFICE?" Darren exclaimed in horror.
"Bro it's only a drop." Xavier replied trying to calm him down.
*DING DONG* The doorbell rings.
Xavier quickly opens the door and Ryan, Chris and Tyler all walk into the house.
"YOOO!" Ryan says excitedly.
"What are we even doing tonight, what are we summoning?" Chris asked.
"An evil entity called the midnight man!" Xavier exclaimed excitedly ready to get it done.
"Alright." Tyler replied.
They move up to Xavier's room and begin the ritual.
"The first step of this ritual is we all write our FULL GOVERNMENT NAMES on a piece of paper." Xavier says.
"Full Govvy?" Tyler asks.
"Yes." Xavier Replies.
After they write their full names on a piece of paper, they begin the most important part.
"Alright, now we each have to poke a small hole in our finger with a needle, then put one drop of blood on your piece of paper." Xavier explains.
"Damn, this is serious." Chris says.
After they had all done what they need to do they begin the 3rd part of the setup.
"Now, we each light a candle and place it on top of our piece of paper with our name on it." Xavier explained to everyone.
After they had done that, it was time for the second to last step of the setup.
"Now we close the door and knock on it 22 times together with the 22nd knock being directly on 12:00 AM." Xavier explained to get ready for the final step.
They complete that step.
"Now we blow out our candles and relight them within ten seconds of blowing them out." Xavier said for the final step.
They open the door, blow out the candles and rush to light the candle again.
"Good job guys." Xavier says after they had all relit their candles way before the time limit.
"Now the rules of the game, NEVER provoke the Midnight Man, If your candle goes out, make sure to relight it before the 10 seconds runs out, if you fail to do that, The Midnight Man will be your attachment. Also look out for shadow figures of a tall man. Lastly, you cannot use any light except for your candle." Xavier explains.
"Alright, let's begin!" Darren exclaims.
They begin walking around their house using no lights but their candle lights. They begin with the popular method called the "Estes Method" where one or two people get a sensory deprivation and can only hear the spirit box, this helps them understand the words easier and not get their mind tricked into hearing different things from what others are saying.
Darren is the first person to do the method.
"Has the midnight man successfully been summoned?" Chris asked first.
"I heard laughter but like deep and demonic." Darren said.
"Oh hell no." Tyler said.
"Here" Darren said.
"WHAT, it worked clearly!" Chris exclaimed in fear.
All the sudden, Darren's candle went out..
"OH SHIT!" Tyler says scrambling to relight Darren's candle in fear that he would get a demonic attachment.
Luckily they all relight his candle in under 10 seconds.
They tap Darren on the shoulder to get him out of the Estes Method and explain what had just happened.
"Bro, we asked if he was summoned successfully, then you said there was demonic laughter, after we were freaking out then you said "Here.", after that your candle went out." Ryan explained.
"Holy shit.." Darren said.
They decided that they would just walk around and look for anything out of the ordinary.
*CRASH* They hear glass breaking from upstairs.
"SHIT" Tyler yells.
They run upstairs and see Darren's glass vase with flowers that he got from his mother broken on the floor.
Darren starts breaking down crying, because his mother had passed away 5 years ago today.
"We should definitely leave, now." Chris suggests clearly scared from what had just happened.
Darren walks out of the house towards his car to go to his mothers grave to mourn, as soon as he steps out the door he throws the candle to the floor in an angry sad rage.
This leaves Tyler, Chris, Xavier, and Ryan.
"Ryan you've been awfully quiet, u good?" Xavier asks since he hasn't said anything in a while.
"Yeah, all good just a lil shaken up." Ryan responds.
That's when they realize that Chris's candle had been blown out but it was too late.
"Shit, what the hell do we do now?" Chris asks shakily.
"Fuck, you're definitely done. You lost the game, therefore, the demon has been attached to you." Xavier says.
They hear footsteps walking up stairs, they quickly peek out to find a figure of a demon sort thing walking slowly towards them, they slam the door and lock it trying to defend against the demon but it still makes its way in, phasing through the door.
That's when Ryan gets the idea that changes everything.
He pulls out a necklace from under his shirt, shows it to the demon.
Everything starts shaking. The floor, the house, the roof.
Bang, a light starts shining, super bright from the demon, seeming as it rips the insides of the demon out, as another comes out of Chris' body and emits another bright light, they had completed an exorcism with nothing but a cross necklace.
That's when Darren comes back with a whole christ crew coming to do the exorcism when they get blinded by the bright light emitting from the demons.
"HOLY SHIT DUDE WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON" Xavier yells in shock of what's happening
"I DONT FUCKING KNOW I JUST HELD UP MY CROSS NECKLACE TO THE DEMON AND ALL THIS HAPPENED" Ryan replies also shocked about this situation.
They had successfully banished the Midnight Man and whatever other demon was lurking.
