Black holes for eyes
eyes that pinpoint lies
they target your mind
absorbing secrets and insecurities
oh, I know a secret!
delusions
a diluted mess of sanity
what is sanity?
when you
undress, unveil, and reveal with
someone who
takes all your marbles in your
wooden heart-shaped box
and throws them to the ground
as you and I watch
each piece shatter to the floor
I tell him, "No more."
and walk him to the front door
Wormholes for eyes
tunneling, funneling, spiraling
into what felt like infinity
until we meet again
Because you are
a light I never want to see dim
and God forbid you go out
A universe in your eyes
a place I want to be
I want to see the things
that make you happy
I want to see your future
and wonder
I hope to be a true friend
because I'd rather be in your life
than not at all
Look into my eyes
what do you see?
Do you see my soul through that window of yours?
Maybe a similar universe?
I know one thing for sure
A new solar system was born
a planet with us formed
that sun, an angel
watches over us, you and me.
And I pray we cross paths again
