The Crowned Clown of Standard Five

The morning bell rang, and with it, the world of children came to life.

In Class 5, where time passed on broken chalk and bruised knees, laughter filled the air—loud, wild, and unstoppable. The hallways echoed with the sounds of running feet and kids calling out to each other. Sunlight poured through the old windows, lighting up every desk with golden warmth.

The students sat in their seats, pretending to finish their homework—not because they were hardworking, but because they were all afraid of getting scolded.

And among them, one boy ruled above all when it came to jokes and trouble: Abhinav—the true king of mischief.

They didn’t call him the Mischief King for nothing. His pranks were legendary.

Just yesterday, he’d pulled off one of his greatest stunts: grabbing his loyal friend Vansh and shoving him—completely shocked and helpless—into the one place no boy dared go: the Girls’ Washroom.

First came silence.

Then chaos.

The whole class had exploded in laughter. No story, no poem, no joke could ever top that one. Even now, everyone was still laughing about it, retelling the moment like it was a famous movie scene.

Vansh, though embarrassed, held his head high. But there was a gleam in his eyes—a promise of payback.

He stood up, brushed chalk off his uniform, and challenged Abhinav in front of the whole class:

“If you’re really the king of comedy, then prove it. Do an impression of Ms. Lata—if you’re not too scared.”

A heavy silence fell over the room, like the moment just before a storm.

Abhinav stood, grinning, and cracked his knuckles like a warrior about to go into battle.

Then he began.

And just like that—the whole mood shifted.

His voice deepened, copying her scary tone. He furrowed his brows just like she did, stomping around the room with perfect imitation.

He grabbed a piece of chalk like it was a judge’s hammer and shouted,

> “You think this is a zoo? SIT DOWN or I’ll call your PARENTS!”

Even the windows seemed to laugh. Vansh bowed dramatically, admitting defeat.

But fate had other plans.

Behind them, slow claps echoed through the room.

Clap.

Clap.

Clap.

And through the laughter stepped the very person Abhinav was pretending to be—

Ms. Lata herself.

Her eyes were like ice. Her lips were tight. Her stare was sharper than a sword.

The room went quiet.

Abhinav froze.

And in the silence, Vansh leaned in and whispered with a mischievous smile,

> “I might have known she was there.”

That day, Abhinav’s rule ended—not with shouting, but with a smirk and his name written in the discipline book.

But dear readers, don’t think this was the end of mischief. No, it was only the beginning.

Because where one prank ends, ten more are waiting to be born—as long as there's someone like Abhinav to dream them up, and others to laugh along.
