A fun and well written love story.
"What a fine collaboration this is! I haven’t read any of Michael BN’s other stories (yet) but I enjoyed this entertaining short story immensely. You can never go wrong with Evan Binley’s imaginative works, so I was intrigued. What a lovely treat this turned out to be🙂🫶🏻"
Sweet story
"Very sweet story, I was cautious of Hugo "using" Alistair for fun but it all turned out okay. A nice read."
A delicious collaboration from beginning to end...
"In a superb blending of two phenomenal authors’ writing styles, this lighthearted cat-and-mouse chase revels in tension that usually leans far more sexual than dramatic, while also somehow managing to avoid being a superficial fluff story. The “cat” is a young 20-something blonde Dutchman named Hugo, hardworking but full of mischief. In this story set almost entirely at a massive, weekend-long anniversary celebration for the heads of an aristocratic English family, he is the adult stepson of a newly remarried member of said family, meeting nearly everyone for the first time—including Alistair, who acts as both family event coordinator and Hugo’s “mouse” for most of the story. It doesn’t take long for the sparks to fly, but Alistair’s sense of responsibility ensures a slow burn, although one that sizzles throughout. But while the spotlight follows these two, they are not the only people to shine here. Within the span of twelve chapters, you get to know and (mostly) fall in love with what feels almost like an ensemble cast, such is the artful care given to establishing characters beyond the two leads that feel real to the reader. Meanwhile the ones that are...shall we say, “harder to love,” are given just enough screen time to either drive the plot along or help show the true colors of the rest of the family—otherwise limiting the melodrama to a flamboyant caterer raging at fruit. (But even that melodramatic caterer, whose restraint in crossing from counselor to competition seems to hang by a mere thread at any given moment, adds a lot to enjoy.) Hats off to @MichaelBN and @Evan_Binley for this sexy and heartwarming romance, and hoping for more collaborations between the two in the near future. 💕 *** Tip for the reader: DO NOT start reading this while hungry, or you may be distracted by the food you’re not eating. ***"
A Family Affair
"A wonderful collaboration from @Evan_Binley and @MichaelBN. It is a beautifully written romance story. Will our men get together? Only one way to find out... Hugo is a funny, cheeky temptress. Alastair is more reserved and comes from an affluent family. Hugo's mum married Alastair's brother putting stumbling blocks in the way for Alastair, as to whether the relationship would be ethical and wondering what his family would think if he was with Hugo a much younger man. Alastair's family means the world to him. They meet at Alastair's parents'anniversary party which Alastair had planned to perfection. You will need to read to find out more. 😜😘❤️"
A Family Affair
"This is a wonderful and sweet story. I love how Hugo flirted and teased Alastair when they first met. He quickly realized that he really liked him more than just someone he could tease and hookup with. It took Alastair a little bit to get over the family and age thing but he couldn’t stay away from Hugo. I love that they had the support of their families. Fantastic job author. 💞🩷💞"
A Family Affair❤️
"The collaboration for A Family Affair between you @MichaelBN and @Evan_Binley was brilliant, amazing and a dream come true for me. You are the very first authors that ever replied to me in both your story comments, which I was very surprised and grateful for, I have followed and loved both your works ever since.❤️ A Family Affair is a well written, engaging, and very enjoyable story, one I highly recommend for you all to read. Alastair’s family are affluent entrepreneurs, and very rich, but he’s not at all like those rich people you read about, that acts and talks like a proper English gentleman with a silver spoon in his mouth, no he is actually down to earth, right now he’s acting like a commoner by helping the catering company serve food, at the party he’s organised. Hugo is a young man who’s attending his step father’s family’s estate for a party, Hugo doesn’t really want to be there but he’s attending because he loves his mother. Alastair and Hugo take us on a cat and mouse chase, where the younger Hugo does all the flirting, and chasing after the older and sexy gentleman Alastair. The two men have chemistry, their want and lust for each other is obvious, but there is something holding Alastair back from crossing the line with Hugo. But you will all have to read the story to find out what happens between Alastair and Hugo, no spoilers.❤️❤️ "
