Muchas veces creemos que es difícil que nos acepten en cualquier aspecto, y Eric Zachary no era la excepción a eso. Especialmente por la idea que él tenía del amor. Eric toda su vida sintió que era un corazón con espinas y, por mucho que intentara demostrar lo contrario, siempre acababa mal. Su experiencia fue tan dolorosa que, con el tiempo, se dejó atrapar en esas penas, viviendo en mentiras que lo llevaban a muchos encuentros casuales con mujeres con las que no duraba más de una noche. Le resultaba difícil sentir algo real. Para él, todo era tan repetitivo que llegó a pensar que era un estereotipo de cuerpo y cara bonitos que los demás usaban, y con eso intentaba llenar el vacío que sentía. Hasta que un día, todo cambió. En medio de su rutinaria vida de cortejos pasajeros, se cruzó una mujer que lo deslumbró y le hizo apreciar una sensación diferente: la de que podía ser amado, si ella le daba la oportunidad. Estaba convencido de que ella era la indicada. Sin embargo, no resultó como esperaba. Lamentablemente, ella sabía (o tenía una idea) de quién era él por esos rumores que lo han perseguido toda su vida, frustrando así cualquier posibilidad de conocerse. A pesar de ese rechazo, Eric no quiere rendirse tan fácilmente. Estaba decidido a demostrarle que es todo lo contrario a lo que dicen de él.
