Hi Victoria Morillo,

I just finished reading your story “Último deseo” and I loved it so much. Your writing is beautifully tender, and I kept picturing how moving it would look as a comic.

I really loved the scene in Chapter 1 where Karla, surrounded by her sprawling garden of yellow blossoms, lovingly tends each bloom as if speaking to an old friend your description of the petals glowing in the late afternoon light would make for such a warm, cinematic page. And later in that same chapter, when Karla sits with her family among those flowers and gently asks them to scatter her beloved blooms over her grave, the moment of falling petals drifting through the air struck me as ideal for a series of poignant manga panels that capture both her serenity and the bittersweet beauty of her last wish.

I’m a commissioned artist, and I’d love to draw your story into a comic/manga. No pressure though.I just think “Último deseo” would resonate even more powerfully when brought to life visually.

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
