On a Rainy Day
Diu was a die hard fan of K dramas. She watched them endlessly, loosing herself in their romantic plots and magnetic characters. Over time, those fictional world’s began to seep into her real world - ” she’d imagine what it would be like if one of those dreamy men from the screen stepped into her life.
One rainy afternoon, something unexpected happened. While walking home, Diu crossed path with a stranger who seemed straight out of a K drama. Tall around six feet, fit physique, charming eyes, silky hair and dimples that could melt hearts. Diu felt like time had stopped, caught between fantancy and reality.
The man smiled politely and asked, ” Could you help me? I don’t have an umbrella and i need to get to the bus stand “.
Still dazed, Diu nodded and held out her umbrella. They walked side by side in silence, her pounding with nervous excitement. It felt like a scene she’d watched countless times and now, she was living it.
When they reached the bus stand, the man said thanks and walked away. Duu watched him disappear into the crowd. As she continued walking, she thought about all those k drama scenes that felt just like this. But she kept reminding herself, ” This isn’t a k drama, its just a real life”. And yet, ......it felt just a little magical..✨️🦋
