Suspenseful Dreamscape

"This is a story that drips with atmosphere: you can smell and hear it all around you as you read, and even though not much happens per se, it is as tense as anything Poe ever wrote. The premise of this story is fascinating, leading to an nice twist at the end, Also interesting is how artfully the author weaves this into the fabric of culture we don't always associate with horror/suspense, which gives it added color and realism. The writing is first-rate throughout, though at times the paragraphs are a bit dense: it might be nice, especially in a story like this, to write in shorter bursts, giving us more time for the weight of each paragraph to sink in. I sometimes missed important details that were wedged into a larger chunk of text. But this is a very small matter, and overall, this is a story that is frightening not because there are monsters, blood, or anything horrific in it...but simply because we can all imagine the moon speaking directly to us, conversing in the language of our dreams. Would love to hear more from this author, or see this enlarged into a longer narrative."
