" Well here we are again, what a brilliant book litrually what a crime series that spun my head with hold what. Like a movie I must say I can visualise it as one. The Suspense throughout out was mind blowing with all the twist and turns. What a jaw dropping ending I did not expect seriously I was like wait what! Now fellow readers and writers, if you are looking for a thrilling ride of thriller and plot twists then this is the book for you. Beware this is not for the faint hearted. This writer means business with her work. Fantastic 💜 "

"This storyline is a fine mixture between a crime series you can't get enough episodes of and a horror movie you shouldn't watch before bedtime. 🤫 The suspense continuously grows through the series of mind-blowing events, and the writing is so good that the chills kept going down my spine! It has plot twists and stone-cold experiences that really make you shiver. 🥶 The ending was impressive, revealing more mysteries than just one death. For me, it was a little frightening, yet thrilling and exciting! Thanks for this story! ❤️"

" This book is like picking up a glass of wine expecting something smooth, and then it hits you with straight whiskey. The mystery around Loveth’s death is so addictive, and Evelyn’s torn-between-love-and-truth thing had me screaming at my screen. Like, girl, I get it, but also… DO NOT IGNORE THOSE RED FLAGS. The way grief is written here? Chilling. It’s not just people being sad...it’s people hiding behind sadness, and that makes everything way more suspicious. Every time they uncovered a clue...coded journals, creepy photos, that “Don’t ever leave Thomas” warning...I was on edge. Now, I’m not gonna lie… some parts dragged a bit. There were moments I just wanted them to get on with it instead of circling the same emotions. And a few characters felt like they had so much potential but we didn’t really get inside their heads. If you like psychological mysteries that make you question everyone, you NEED to read this...flaws and all. Trust me."

The clues coded journals, cryptic warnings are smartly placed, and the tension builds beautifully. That said, there are moments where the pacing feels uneven. Some scenes linger a little too long on description, which slows the momentum, while others leap ahead so quickly I wanted more emotional fallout. A few side characters could also use deeper development; their motives are intriguing but sometimes feel just out of reach. Still, these are small critiques in what is otherwise a gripping and layered mystery. The twists are sharp, the atmosphere is haunting, and the final chapters left me with chills. If you love psychological suspense that cuts deep, Midnight Deception is absolutely worth reading and worth sticking around for the next installment."
