Before
Riding the bus, I dosed off. Waking back up a man sat across from me. His creepy smile creeped me out making me sit up. Soon as my stop came i jumped up quickly and got off. The man licked the window giving me shivers. Being a single woman in this town was horrible. The men act as though you have no boundaries. Walking into the coffee shop my boss was whipping the coffee quick
“You’re late. Hurry up and clock in I need to run to the bank.” I rushed behind the counter and punched my number in. Putting on my apron i took the next customers order. Once the rush died down me and my other coworker was cleaning up. “Omg girl did you hear??? The one and only Abel tesfaye is coming to town for a festival!!” I nodded budding the spot out of the table.
“I dont think i want to go. Whats the point when you can never get close enough to him? Everyone front and center gets to see him.” My coworker huffed at me
“Youre no fun. Just this once girl lets go see him and enjoy the music he will be playing. Im sure he will be doing photos and autographs.” I sighed he was my favorite artist and i did want to see him in person. The guilt weighed my shoulders and i caved. “Fine when is he coming?” She jumped up and down in excitement and pulled her phone out.” Hes coming next weekend. Save all your money so we can enjoy the festival.” I nodded and continued cleaning. Once we finished closing she gvae me a ride home. “How coen you take the bus? I can always give you a ride and i have a bike you can use girl.” I politely decline. “The bus im used to and i dont want you to use all of your gas trying to bring me to work and take me home.” She nodded and comtinued the drive.
As she pulls up i sigh. “I hope it will be worth it.” She nudged my arm. “It will be!!” I get out and wave her goodbye. Stepping into my silent home i walk to my bedroom. Pushing my curls back i take a shower and wash my face. Once done i make my way to the room. “I hope hes as cool as he seems.” I say before falling asleep
