It was a rainy evening. The sky was cloaked in thick, rolling clouds, with flashes of lightning and thunder carving wild patterns into the purple heavens.
“What are we going to do now?” a woman in her early twenties asked, her voice trembling.
“I don’t know... I never thought it would end like this,” the man replied, his tone heavy with despair.
“We can run away from this hell.”
“What are you saying? How can we abandon our throne and flee?”
“Then can we let our child die here?” she asked, placing a protective hand over her swollen belly.
The man stared at her for a long moment before whispering,
