Chapter 1: Beginning
Have you ever felt like you could end it? I know deep thoughts seated at the back of my mind, that something unforgettable would happen and make it all stop.
It's around 8:30 pm during the cold season. It's raining heavily and the bright city lights are on.The ballroom is decorated in purple, white and gold: a symbol of royalty and wealth. Bright red roses placed all over tying the room together.Guest are busy mingling and laughter breaks through.
The music sours loudly through the air and glasses clicking as toasts are made. At a desolate corner Angela sits alone. Dowing glass after glass of wine trying to forget what she can never forget.
Chris, her younger brother, approaches her with a worried look,
" Everything okay siz?" He asks.
Angela looks up with her brown clear eyes,
" Of course, I am okay little tiger. Just escaping the fake pleasantries"She says giving a half smile.
With some doubts he informs her
" Call me if you need anything, happy birthday big tiger."
Angela gives him a thumbs up wearing a self despctive smile. Chris leaves to join his girlfriend on the dance floor. Today is Angela's 30 th birthday party and all her family and loved ones are gathered to celebrate but the girl of the hour is not in the mood. Having finished a bottle of wine she gets up and heads out the door. She can finally hear the heavy down pour and it just affirms her state.
She staggers up the flight of stairs that were to her right. Her vision a bit hazy from all the drinking.Hot tears trickling down her cheeks. She struggles up until she arrives on the rooftop of the tallest building in Sun City where the banquet was held.
She stands on the edge of the rooftop staring blankly at the city view.
" I have tried so hard but I can't anymore. I had beautiful thoughts once upon a time but now...I just can't. Happy birthday to me." She whispers to herself,
" I just want to be happy and at peace," taking in a deep breath she closes her eyes allowing the rain to fall on her in the last attempt to search for relief. Her purple gown is soaked and is clinging to her tiny frame of body.
" This is the day I come into this world and this is the day I choose to leave.
It's over."
She jumps off and everything goes dark.
