Bittersweet
Oh Love what sorrows it brings.
At first it’s great
Like when you go on that first date.
But when they leave you all alone and go to someone else
That’s when you know it’s history
And then you start wishing it was meant to be.
It’s like having a heart attack.
It can’t feel much worse than that.
Love is very bitter-sweet.
It has it’s moments sweet rewards
But for a majority you feel like your falling apart.
A harsh pain in the heart of sorrows
In this bitter-sweetness called love
Drama thrown in causes a brawl.
Why do we always fall…hard on the cold ground?
I’m still wondering why we have never found
That happy ending
That “all time forever love” everybody has dreamt about.
Instead of falling down and crying our hearts out over the one we lost…
The one that left… the one that let me go… falling over the edge
I went cold… I landed on the on the harsh ground…
Sink further we do, if we are never found…
Or find the strength to get back up and carry on….
