Sad
"She helped him and in her time of need he just left her in the cold to die alone... i was hoping for a sweet ending for Gayle."
Winter, but its oddly warm
"I really enjoyed reading through this. I often expect drama to come with stories this slow, but there was none of that. This became my favorite read this week without having an ounce of drama and I love it. That's not to say there isn't any tension. There's an implied attraction between the two main leads and their interactions are as comforting as they are chaotic. You nailed the comedy too, getting a few genuine chuckles out of me as I read on. Your writing style is straightforward, which is another plus bcz I feared that you'd dip into purple prose. But you didn't. You kept a tight, cozy narrative without using cheap tricks to keep my attention. A beautiful read, would recommend this to anyone needing a break from other more intense books"
It was great, until it wasn’t
"A plot twist should enhance the story, not undo its logic. What a shame to end it this way. "
Harsh winds of winter
"Ending was disappointing"
The harsh winds of winter
"The story’s plot is what drew me in but as soon as I started reading, I was confused by the location of the story. Cedar Keys, Florida does not get snow at all. It is very rare for snow to hit that state but even if it does, Cedar Key doesn’t get any at all. I tried to ignore that aspect and kept reading. Parts of the story seemed too rushed and lacked development of the characters. Also if he had damaged his legs, how could he immediately start walking and helping and fixing the very next morning? A lot of incredulous aspects of this story - snow in Cedar Keys, loaning a sled to a bunch of random teenagers and miraculous healing after seemingly having a concussion and a huge gash in his leg"
Man at the Door
"This book left a lot to be desired. Very disappointed."
