Chapter 1: Death and rebirth.

An ordinary 22-year-old guy is how you can briefly describe Andrey. Brown hair, like eyes, and average height. One of the unusual things is that he has never drunk or smoked in his 22 years, unlike his peers who were surprised by this information. He graduated from 9th grade, and after that he went anywhere, because he didn’t know who he wanted to be, his grades were average. At school, he was a private guy, but closer to graduation, he became more sociable. After graduation, he served in the army. When he returned, he tried himself at various jobs and at the time of his 23rd spring he was working in delivery. He lives alone, knows how to cook, and of course he’s not a restaurant chef or a mom, but he’s able to cook potatoes in several ways, and if he gets tired of her, he can cook something. Occasionally, he can order food at home, but not often, since it’s always a small holiday for him, he doesn’t want such food to bother him. In his free time, he plays games with his two friends, sometimes in a place, but more often one at a time since they are very busy.In general, an ordinary life, his days were similar to one another and it may seem that he did not like this kind of life, but no, he really liked this kind of life. He believed that such a status quo was one of the few ways to live without significant stress and in relative comfort. He believes that in our time, in any case, it is better to live than at any other time, well, at least in the European part of Russia where he was born and lives, yes, he does not live in Moscow or St. Petersburg, but still in the European part. He reads the news and knows that the world is fucked up even in our time, but he has learned to deal with it, realizing that he cannot change everything and react to all the news “Clearly.” You should only worry about what’s happening in front of your eyes because:

“If I worry about every person in the world, I’ll worry all my life, I’m not God and I can’t help them. If something bad happened on the other side of my city, then of course it’s bad, but it doesn’t really concern me anymore.”

He might have lived like this for the rest of his life if it hadn’t been for one spring evening.

“I ran out of sugar at the wrong time,” Andrei muttered to himself as he walked briskly.

Before continuing to play with his friend, Andrey wanted to make himself some tea, but as soon as he started making it, he saw an empty sugar bowl, and after that he had no sugar at all. Upset, he returned and wanted to continue without tea, but when he returned, he saw a message from a friend that he had to leave for about 20 minutes. Andrey dressed quickly and went to the nearest sugar store.

“I need to stop talking out loud.” - This time he said it quite clearly, looking around at the same time.

He saw an ordinary evening city. It was already quite dark since it was only the middle of spring and it was already quite late. There was no snow on the street anymore, as well as slush, but it was cool.

“Although if there is no one, then I think we can talk out loud.” - He said, relaxed.

“It’s even too empty, usually in the evening, on the contrary, there are a lot of people on the street, and there are a lot of cars,” he thought aloud as he approached the traffic light.

And in truth, during the entire walk, he did not meet a single person on the way, only a couple of people on the other side, and not one car at all. Although he didn’t care at all. He had more important things to do, so he just started waiting for the traffic light to turn green so he could cross the road. And then there was a problem for about 3 minutes, and the traffic light did not turn green.

“It seems to me that the traffic light should have switched long ago,” Andrei said with obvious trepidation.

“It’s cool outside, so as not to get sick.” - He said, freezing.

After waiting another minute and not seeing the result, he thought that the traffic light was broken, he looked to the left, then at the smooth, empty, straight empty road, even during the time that he stood there, not a single car passed. He decides to run. He ran lightly across the road, it only takes 10 seconds to cross it, but after he had run halfway, a very bright light appeared abruptly, as if from nowhere to his right, and Andrei just managed to turn his head, saw a blinding light and heard a horn.

Sharp darkness...

“BLAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!” “Stop it!” he shouted, covering himself with his hands.

“Huh? Am I alive?” Andrey asked himself, slapping himself from head to toe.

“I was sure that somehow a truck appeared out of nowhere and hit me and I died, but wait, what the...” - Andrei did not have time to finish.

???

“It’s just like you said, but what kind of place is this that you won’t understand even if I try to explain, it’s just not understandable to a human.” - An imperious, gentle, but at the same time quite loud male voice was heard from behind Andrey.

Turning around, Andrey saw in the distance a guy who looked about 25 years old, tall, about 185 cm, black hair, they were only a little lighter than the darkness around this guy. He had dark blue eyes, a slight smile, and was wearing a white robe that looked like religious garb. The guy himself was standing with his arms crossed, looking at Andrey at a decent distance from himself. Even though everything was dark, the guy was clearly visible, as if he himself was the source of light.

Andrey

“Who are you?” Andrey asked with sincere interest.

???

“It seems that you people call me God. So consider me one,” he replied calmly.

Andrey

“God?” Andrey asked with displeasure in his voice, starting to approach God.

God

“Yes, and as you said before, a truck hit you and you died,” God said with a little forced sadness.

“But! Since you haven’t lived much of a life, I’m giving you a second chance! I am! I grant you rebirth in another world!” - With obvious pride and gesticulating too much.

In the end, God spread his hands, waiting for a reaction from Andrew. As Andrew approached, he accelerated, and instead of Andrew’s expected joy at the news and words of gratitude, God received a slap in the face.

Andrey

“FUCK YOU!” - aggressively shouted Andrey at God.

Although the blow was strong, God did not even change his face. Only after Andrey shouted at God, he opened his eyes and took the smile off his face, looked at Andrey, after which the latter pulled his hand away from the face of God and stood in an aggressive stance.

God

“And what is that for?” God asked in a puzzled and disappointed voice, lowering his hands and standing straight.

Andrey

“FOR WHAT?!” - Andrey asked, a little shocked.

“If you call yourself god, then you recognize that you are an omnipotent being and the kindest one who confirms his existence, which means that you are responsible for all the shit that happens in the world, and if you can’t influence him, then you can’t call him god!” Andrey began to reason, no longer shouting, but with aggression, still skeptical of the words of the self-named God, who may simply not understand who he called himself.

“ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE A GOD, BECAUSE YOU KILLED ME!” he started shouting again, getting angry at the self-named God.

“I STOOD LIKE A FUCKER FOR 10 FUCKING MINUTES AND WAITED FOR THE FUCKING TRAFFIC LIGHT TO SWITCH, AND DURING THAT TIME NOT A DAMN THING PASSED ME BY, BUT WHEN I DECIDED TO CROSS THE PEDESTRIAN PASSAGE, HAVING CAREFULLY CHECKED THE ROAD THAT WAS CLEAN, AS IF BY MAGIC, NOT EVEN A CAR APPEARED, BUT A FUCKING TRUCK SO THAT I WOULD PROBABLY DIE!” - Andrey REMINDED God why He’s right there, shouting and gesturing with his hands.

Andrey was exhausted after his long monologue and continued after taking a deep breath.

Andrey

“And then you’re like, ‘You haven’t lived a great life, blah blah, I, the one who fucked you, am giving you a second chance, blah blah, I’m giving you a rebirth, BITCH!’“” Andrei began to mimic God, while gesticulating very emotionally.

“Rebirth? Fuck you, my life was already fine with me, so just bring me back “Goood”.” - Said Andrey absolutely calmly.

“Although no, if I have a “Goood” in front of me, I have a bunch and a small cart of questions for you that you will answer, and only then you will bring me back.” - Andrey began to put forward his demands.

All this time, God just looked at him without expressing any emotions or changing his face in any way, but after Andrey fell silent, waiting for at least some reaction from God, he smiled again.

God

“Do you want a joke?” God asked Andrey, smiling in a friendly way.

Andrey

“What?” Andrey asked, puzzled and very quietly.

God,

“Two clowns are fucking once and one says to the other, “It’s not fucking funny anymore...” Having said this, God looked at Andrey, waiting for a reaction.

Andrey

“Huh?” - Opening his mouth, Andrey was shocked, he was ready to hear anything but that.

God

“Well, it didn’t work out, well, it’s going to be bad, I’ll just send you to another world.” - God said in a disappointed voice, his face changed.

Andrey

“No, no, no, just try, if you send me to another world, I’ll kill myself, but I won’t dance to your fool, and my old life suited me.” Andrei said confidently, looking God in the eye and threatening.

God

“Man, I think you’ve completely forgotten your place. SINCE WHEN ARE YOU IN CHARGE HERE? I’ll just erase our meeting from your memory and that’s it.“- Having said this, God put Andrew in his place.

At the moment when God asked when he was in charge here, his voice became many times stronger, although he did not raise his voice, and this scared Andrew so much that a tremor ran through his body, and his legs gave out and he found himself in a reclining position, looking at God from the bottom up. Previously, God looked harmless and Andrey doubted that it was God, but now he is absolutely sure that this creature, if not God, is definitely a very powerful being who can kill him at any moment and not blink.

Andrey

“I’m not going anywhere without answers.” - noticeably quieter, without aggression, but with fear in his voice, Andrey said.

God

“It’s not up to you to decide, but so be it, you’ll be able to find out the answers in another world. Consider this my gift.” The God calmly said, stretching out his hand, which was ready to make a click.

Andrey

“NO!” shouted Andrey, trying to stand up and stop Bo...

*click*

“BLAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!” Andrey shouted, holding his arms out in front of him.

“So it was a dream...” said Andrey, relaxed.

Andrey lowered his hands to the ground where he was lying, he was not embarrassed that he was lying on the ground in the forest, but he decided not to ignore the fact that his hand fell on something flat and hard. He took the find in his hand and held it in front of him, still lying there. What he took was a leather-bound book with the inscription “Book of Elai” on it.

Andrey“What is it?” Andrey asked indifferently.
