The past
It was the most awaiting moment of the year where students and teachers get equally excited to compete against different colleges for the championship title for the year. St.Michaels college has bagged championship trophy of the year for the 7th time .competitions takes place in all fields of arts , sports and science and the championship trophy is considered to be the one to determine the best of the best college.
There every college seemed busy preparing for the upcoming competitions to determine the title of championship. Scanning through the pile of cards and documents in Roger stephens desk the principal of St.Michaels college, he received a call from a familiar number and looked shocked afterwards, Roger gasped for air sat back eyes closed for sometime and leaned forward and took a photo from the file he kept inside the drawer of the cupboard ,it was the photo of a beautiful young lady in her 20's , he layed back with the photo in hand and tears start streaming down from his eyes, he didnt wipe it, he let it go the pain he had summoned in his heart for over two decades its time to explode he thought . He took the phone and asked the Arts department head to come in quick to his cabin.
Ria the intelligent and beauty queen of St.Michaels college as they say beauty with brains.Ria is a final year arts student her beauty and talent is been admired by everyone in the college , she is the coordinator for the arts team this year.Ria was busy oragnising and planning for the events with her friends. She is a true beauty with a kind nature, thats how she has been raised even when she was young. Her friend called out to Ria and asked her to meet her department head as he asked for her. Ria went to Richard simons cabin , he seemed confused as how to deliver the message. Ria's aunt Norah passed away half an hour ago. Ria felt her whole world turned upside down , she was overwhelmed by many emotions at a time. She couldnt feel her legs , the grief she couldnt stand it at all. She fell back unconscious caught her at the right time by Roger stephen , she was given the medical aid and Roger Stephen said when she gained consciousness that he will take her to whitsberg , she looked into his eyes . Tears flowing down she didnt know what to do she nodded yes, she didnt have the strength to comprehend the situation she is going through. In the dorm while Ria packing her bag she met Coral and Matt her best friends , her face red and worn out of tears, she hugged them and cried. She told them what happened. They have met aunt Norah a couple of times when they have visited her home . She handed over the important things of the event to them and left with Roger stephen in his car.
Ria and Roger was silent throughout, she then remembered that no address been mentioned to Roger , he was driving like he is going to a known place . Ria closed her eyes and didnt have the energy to ask anything. She thought to herself , its tragedy wherever She goes. There isnt any happy ending in her life. When she was seven years old she lost her parents and two brothers in a car accident because when Ria insisted on traveling with aunt Norah on that day she was spared from that fatal accident. From that day on Ria was taken care by her aunt.
Her mind was flooded with memories,she didnt know how to live without her. Roger stephen drove all the way to whitsberg and stopped infront of her house . For Ria everything seemed different, the house the people she know , kane her butler she felt like nobody existed for her. She couldnt imagine aunt Norah cold body in a coffin her knees felt weak and trembling Ria started to loose it all, Roger hugged her tightly and consoled her.
On that night Roger Stephen and kane where talking and Ria heard their conversation. Kane asked when are you going to let Ria know all the truth, its time that she know about her life. You owe her , her life , her happiness, Kane was furious. Roger searched for words. Ria came to them suddenly and asked what was kane talking about. They both looked each other with sadness in their eyes, Ria asked will somebody tell me anything. Please ... tell me ... Roger Stephen after a long pause said , Norah wasnt your aunt Ria looked puzzled and looked kane , then Roger said , she was your mother , she thought what wicked game are they playing with her. Ria said no, my parents and brothers died in an accident. You are lying. Kane said no, Norah was your mother. Her world shook again and again the light thread between truth and lie been broken. Why now , she asked , why now do you tell me. She lost her temper. She looked at Roger stephen how did you know my house, how did you know Norah, she exclaimed. She couldnt bare the lies she was told.. now its time for the truth Roger said i am your father. Ria couldnt believe what she heard. She started laughing and crying at the same time like the cruel joke they are playing at her , have you all lost your mind. Do you even realise what you are saying. Roger said yes, i am your father. I know its not the right time to tell you all these but now when you have heard everything you should know the rest. Your mother Norah and Mia we were chidhood friends i lived in whitsberg two decades ago. We went to the same church and same school.Me and Norah were passionately in love , we had dreams for our future , Norah was a talented girl in fashion designing, her family was very rich. So she had many opportunities in one hand. On the contrary i only had dreams , i worked hard for every penny to achieve my dream to marry Norah. At that time Mia got married to Ben Hissling a rich businessman and they were happily married and had two sons . They were settled. After Mia's marriage their father started to bring proposals for Norah for which she didnt agree. I knew i will loose Norah, one day we decided that we will have a family , we both decided to move out of whitsberg and get married. We got married in a small church in Norswitch. Ria couldnt believe her ears as what she was hearing. She listened to everything in disbelief. After two months Norah's father found out that we were in Norswitch. He came there and dragged Norah back home. They hit me hard and tried to kill me thus Norah agreed to go back to save Rogers life. She was pregnant with you when she left me . Neither me or Norah knew it until one day when mia came to see her and saw Norah unconscious in her room and they have taken her to the hospital and then they said she was already 2 months pregnant. In her fragile body they were shocked to hear that. Norah tried to reach me so bad. By that time i left to another place in search of a job and make money to get back Norah. Family tried to keep their status in society wanted to kill the baby. NOrah was furious about her family wanting to kill the baby the kind Mia found a solution to protect Norah and the baby , So as an idea Mia and her kind husband agreed to be the parents of Ria . Mia faked preganancy and raised Ria as her own child.
