Tension, Tenderness, and a Story That Stays With You
"This story is such a gem! It’s so well written and completely pulls you into its world. The worldbuilding is incredible, it somehow gives the feeling of both utopia and dystopia at the same time. The way the capital, Dominus, is advanced and full of control, while everything outside has regressed back to centuries past, is brilliantly captured. You can really feel the contrasts between the polished, cold perfection of the city and the raw, unforgiving life beyond its walls, and it makes the setting come alive. The characters are just as captivating. Eldon is strong and closed-off, but you can sense the weight of everything he carries, and when Milo enters his life, it’s like watching cracks of light break through stone. Their connection is written so beautifully. The slow burn between them is chef’s kiss perfect. I love it when love and care grow slowly and naturally, and here it feels real and earned, not rushed. Both of them have their own struggles and secrets, and the way those are slowly unwrapped keeps you on edge and wanting more. What makes this story so special is how it balances tension with tenderness. One moment you’re bracing for danger, the next you’re holding your breath as something soft and vulnerable slips through. It’s impossible not to get invested, and the emotions really linger long after reading. I’m definitely keeping my eyes out for updates, this story is too good to miss, and I can already tell it’s going to stay with me for a long time."
