Does he care that I'm numb?
Unable to feel.
No longer sure what's real.
He says to call him Daddy.
That's just not me.
That isn't where my issues come from.
No, he'd cry at what his daughter has become.
A hallow shell.
How many more times will she fail?
She wants to be loved.
She needs more than a hug.
How many men has she let in?
All of the friendships that came to an end.
She wants someone to see past the surface.
Pursue her with a purpose.
I'm undeserving of your time.
I'll never get to call you mine.
