And why not? Jungkook had left love bite marks starting from her shoulder, all over her neck, and even on her jawline and chin during the night.
Yn’s eyes widened in pure shock.
The memory of Mom and Dad’s expressions came back to her, and her cheeks turned completely red with embarrassment.)
Yn: Let this monkey come back home from office today… I won’t spare him this time.
(Just like this, with fun, teasing, and love, two weeks passed by.
On the other side, we see a different house… a place where Taehyung was locked. Yes, Taehyung.
There were two guards inside the house, keeping a close watch on him.
Suddenly, someone entered the house and started talking to the guards.
That man was wearing a cap, his face hidden.
Seeing him from behind, Taehyung suddenly shouted at him loudly.)
Taehyung: Who are you? And why have you kept me locked up here like a prisoner?
(As soon as that man turned around, Taehyung was completely shocked to see his face.)
Taehyung: (shocked) Jungkook?
Jungkook: Yes, hyung… Jungkook, your little brother.
Taehyung: You’ve kept me locked up here for so many days?
Jungkook: Yes.
Taehyung: What the hell, Jungkook! Why have you kept me trapped here? (shouting angrily)
Jungkook: This is your punishment, hyung. Be thankful that you're my elder brother, that’s the only reason you got such an easy punishment. Otherwise, you can’t even imagine what I do to people who try to harm Yn. (his voice filled with rage)
Taehyung: What the hell are you talking about? What did I even do to Yn?
Jungkook: Stop pretending, hyung. I found out everything. When I went back to the lake spot to search for my locket, I met the guard who works there. He’s the one who saw everything with his own eyes… the whole incident that happened with Yn at the lake. And he told me that the girl didn’t fall on her own.
He said, "when you kept turning around and looking at the lake again and again, the girl was already struggling to keep her balance because the boat was shaking… and at that exact moment, another girl who was with you all secretly pushed her into the lake. And maybe… the other guy who was with you also saw everything."
Taehyung: What nonsense! Why would Maria do something like that to Yn? Have you lost your mind, Jungkook? (shouting angrily)
Jungkook: I’m not the one who’s gone mad… you are. You love that girl, yet when something so horrible was happening to her, you didn’t protest, you didn’t stop it, you didn’t even try to save her… and worst of all, you didn’t tell anyone about it. (shouting with anger)
Taehyung: Jungkook, enough! That’s enough now. Listen to the truth. Yes, I love Yn… but she was never able to love me back.
Jungkook: (suspicious) What do you mean by that?
Taehyung: Jungkook, while spending time with her, I slowly realised… she loves you, Jungkook. All the time, she only talked about you with me. Your name never left her lips. She was ready to do anything for you.
By the time I understood that she loves you and you love her too… it was already too late. The wedding day was getting close.
So, only one idea came to my mind — to bring you both close in such a short time.
I decided that on the wedding day, I would walk away from the marriage and go back abroad without telling anyone.
And I knew… to save Yn’s honour, you would definitely marry her. That was the last idea left in my mind.
But before I could run away, you kidnapped me. Wow, my own brother kidnapped me?
Jungkook: Then why did you stay quiet even after seeing what Maria did?
Taehyung: I didn’t see anything like that, Jungkook. And even that guard told you “maybe” I saw it. But that maybe is completely wrong. I was so scared at that moment myself that I was just about to grab the boat and sit down when suddenly I heard the sound of water. And when I turned around, I saw YN in the water. Does your brother really seem so bad to you?
(Now Jungkook started crying. He quickly hugged Taehyung tightly and said while sobbing)
Jungkook: I’m sorry, hyung. If possible, please forgive me. Whatever punishment you give me, I’ll accept it. Hyung, I didn’t do anything on purpose. Actually, when it comes to YN, I can’t even take a tiny risk with her life. I’m really sorry.
(Taehyung also hugged Jungkook tightly and said)
Taehyung: It’s okay, Jungkook. I know how much you love YN. And your fear and doubt are valid in their place. It’s okay. By the way, are you two finally together now? Did you both get married, or are you still secretly loving each other in hiding?
(Taehyung's words made Jungkook smile a little with teary eyes as he slowly nodded his head. But suddenly, Taehyung tightly grabbed Jungkook’s arms and looked into his eyes, asking seriously)
Taehyung: You kept me kidnapped all these days because you thought I stayed silent even after seeing what happened with Y/N. But the one who actually did that to Y/N... I mean Maria... what did you do with Maria? (He asked with suspicion)
(On Taehyung’s question, Jungkook replied calmly)
Jungkook: I did exactly what she deserved
Taehyung: What did you do? And where is she now? (He asked with hesitation and doubt)
Jungkook: If anyone even thinks about hurting my Y/N, I make their life hell. So imagine what I must have done to the one who actually hurt her
(Taehyung gulped hard)
Jungkook: Leave all that, hyung.
Taehyung: Did you tell YN everything? I mean… what Maria did?
Jungkook: No, hyung. And I’ll never tell her. And you also… please never tell her.
Taehyung: But why? (He asked in confusion.)
Jungkook: Some truths are better hidden, hyung. It’s better if YN thinks of that lake incident as just an accident. That way, she won’t be troubled by it. But if she ever finds out that Maria actually tried to take her life, it could turn into a deep trauma for her. That would be too painful. So it’s better if she never knows.
Taehyung: You're right. People can forget an accident with time… but not an attempt to murder.
