Chapter 1
The coffe shop on west 42 street was busy.The morning rush spilling in like a tide of impetient voices and clinking cups.
Mia carter was used to it, used to balancing three orders at once.Smiling even when her feet ached, and pretending she didn't notice when customers snapped their fingers for attention.
She wasn't supposed to ne working to day but when Jenna called in Sick,Mia had thrown her black apron and came in. Rent didn't pay it self.
She was busy serving coffee when she accidentally bumped into something or someone.The coffee jerked from her hand and spilled on the strangers white shirt.
"Oh my God i..i..am so sorry" Mia gasped eyes wide tried to wipe the spilled coffee with her handkerchief "i..i.. wasn't looking am really sorry sir."
The man didn't yell or even flinch he simply looked down at the spreading stain on his shirt. He looked at her with unreadable expression.
It was unfair really how could someone look so handsome even with a coffee stained shirt,His dark hair was messy but he still looked handsome his blue ocean eyes looking at her with amusement
"Don't worry about it" he said in a low voice that made Mia shudder "but...you can make it up to me."
Mia blinked"excuse me."
He smiled faintly.even his smile was nice "have coffee with me it could be ..uh.. compensation."
She hesitated looking everywhere else but at him,its not like its a date she told her self "okay but am working"
"I'll wait for you" he looked at her fidgeting with the hem of her apron "or maybe you don't want to, its okay i wil just get goi..."
"Okay fine you can wait for me I'll be done in an hour"she said cutting him off she would feel bad if she didn't take responsibility for her action
" Okay I'll wait for you "he said taking a sit on a table near a window.Something about the man made Mia's heart skip a beat she had a weird feeling not a bad one but a good weird feeling. Little did she know that beaneth the casual clothes, the charming smile she was face to face with one of the city's wealthiest man, a man who had spent years hiding his true identity from the world.
