I was running, I thought I would never stop. My feet were burning from the different things I've stepped on. I don't know why I ran out of the house bare foot. I duck under the under brush and come across a familiar creek. It's not deep, maybe a foot.
I sprint through it anyway, making my shorts wet. I run up the hillside zigzag, my Dad taught me that was the easier way to do it. I reach the top of the hill, only one oak tree stands on top. This is my favorite spot in the world. In the late spring, early summer beautiful flowers litter across the top, making it the most peaceful place in this country. I walk over to the tree, a small swing hangs from one of the high branches. I take in the smell of fresh air, the sun just peeking out of the clouds and putting beautiful rays across Italy. I sit on the swing, listening to the beautiful song of birds. T
hen, my peacefulness if interrupted by a piercing howl ringing out across the thick wood. I hear something loud snap, and a tree falling. I look around, I hear soft thumps, like a heartbeat. I hear a loud bark, and then a whimper.
Then, a beautiful woman appears on top of the hill. She has platinum blonde hair, all the way to her ankles. She has a long white dress that drapes dramatically over her figure. She looks at me with intensity, her icy blue eyes boring into my golden ones. She opens her mouth, but I can't hear what she's saying. Then, there's a voice like the wind, drifting into my ears. "Why run? Run from your past? You need to wake up and believe in who you are because only a few people get second chances. It's like a whisper.
"Who are you?!" I call out to her. Thunder booms and the wind whips my hair around my face. "You know me well Christian." she whispers, her voice soothing. I feel my body giving in, my legs weak, my bones contracting in and out. All I hear is my heartbeat in my ears, and then everything goes black. Her face lingers in my mind, and All I remember her eyes.
