Chapter 1 _ Whisper of the throne

---

Chapter One – Whisper of the Throne

The sky was draped in heavy black clouds, the air cold as if winter had decided to arrive early in the village.

Lian ran along her usual mountain path, her footsteps striking the ground in a steady rhythm, trying to clear her mind from the weight of school and home… but today felt different.

As she passed a massive boulder, a strange whisper brushed against her thoughts — a deep, masculine voice that wasn’t natural, as though it came from inside her own head:

> “The time has come… Guardian of Light.”

She froze in place. Her heart pounded, and a cold sweat formed on her forehead. She turned in every direction — no one was there.

I must be imagining things, she thought, until her gaze caught a peculiar carving on the boulder she’d never noticed before… the shape of a throne, etched with uncanny precision, its eyes glowing faintly red.

Before she could touch it, the sound of approaching footsteps — and the low growl of a motorcycle engine — broke the silence.

She spun around to see a tall man stepping off his bike. He wore a long black coat, his eyes the color of ash after a fire. Removing his helmet, he looked straight at her and spoke in a tone that was both certain and commanding:

> “I’ve finally found you… Guardian of Light.”

Lian instinctively stepped back, her mind flooding with questions.

“Who are you? And how do you know my name?”

A smirk curved his lips, half amusement, half threat.

> “My name is Aiden… I am the Lord of Shadows. And you… are the only one standing between me and the Shadow Throne.”

In that instant, lightning split the sky, thunder roared, and it felt as if the world itself had declared the beginning of their war.
