Chapter 1 "The day it all began"
There was a boy named Gaku, a 15-year-old who was both introvert and extrovert in his own ways. To him, it felt like just another normal day, sitting in his classroom with friends, laughing at silly jokes, not expecting anything unusual. But fate has a way of slipping in quietly, in moments we least expect. That was the day she walked in.
Her name was Sumiko. The room didn’t fall completely silent, but to Gaku it felt like it had. She carried herself with a soft unspoken grace, the kind that made people notice her without even trying. He told himself she was just another new face, nothing more—but a small part of him lingered on her presence. Day passed and little by little he began to notice her more. But he just told himself it’s nothing.
One afternoon, during class, she leaned over and whispered, “Can you send me your notes in math?” It was such a small thing, but to Gaku it felt like the world shifted. That single request, so ordinary on the surface, but it carried a weight he couldn’t name.
