Chapter 1

“Where hearts bow in sujood, love too learns to kneel—

For souls that are written, shall meet, as destiny reveals.”

......................................

The world often measures people by wealth, fame, and power. But for Yusra Gul, life had never been so kind.

At just nineteen, Yusra carried more weight on her fragile shoulders than most her age. She was the eldest daughter in a family that rarely celebrated her existence. To her parents, she was a mistake of timing — born right after the beloved eldest son, she was often branded as unlucky. Whenever misfortune struck, whether it was her father’s failed investment or her mother’s quarrels with relatives, Yusra’s name was the first to be whispered with blame.

Yet, despite the thorns around her, she chose to bloom.

She was a girl of striking modesty and grace. Light brown eyes framed by long lashes, a gentle smile that softened even the hardest days, and a presence that drew people in. She dressed simply — flowing abayas and soft hijabs, not out of compulsion but out of devotion. In her heart, she carried the words of Allah like a shield: “Hasbunallahu wa ni‘mal wakeel”Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.

Her dream was not grand mansions or wealth. Her dream was independence — to study, to become a doctor, and to live a life guided by Islamic principles, free from the bitterness of her parents’ constant quarrels. She believed that even in hardship, Allah had written something beautiful for her.

Across the city, another story unfolded.

Dr. Uzair Ahmed, at twenty-nine, was everything people admired and envied. A brilliant surgeon, known for steady hands in the operating theatre and a heart softened by the Qur’an he carried in memory. A Hafiz-e-Qur’an, a man who began his day with Fajr in congregation and ended it with whispered duas for his patients.

His father was a successful businessman, his mother a respected gynecologist. Theirs was a family of prestige, well-known and well-respected. Yet Uzair remained humble, preferring simplicity over show. He had a sister fifteen years older, already married with four children, and for them, he was the young uncle they adored.

But beneath the perfection others saw, Uzair carried a quiet emptiness. He had dedicated his life to medicine and faith, yet somewhere within, he longed for something deeper — a companionship that was pure, a love that was halal, someone who would see him not just as a surgeon or Hafiz, but as a man in need of a partner to complete his deen.

And so, the two lives continued separately — Yusra Gul, the girl dismissed as unlucky yet carrying a heart full of light, and Uzair Ahmed, the man everyone praised yet carrying a heart waiting for meaning.

Neither knew that their destinies were slowly weaving toward one another.

Neither knew that the place where souls prostrate is where love, too, bows — in humility before the Creator.

Areeba

She was laughter wrapped in courage.

The kind of girl who could joke in the darkest moment…

but also read silence like a book.

She was funny, yes—always teasing, always smiling.

But behind that smile lived a sharp, wise mind.

She understood people… their pain, their lies, their truths.

Areeba was the type of girl who would say:

“Sab theek ho jayega”

…even when she herself was breaking inside.

She believed in Allah deeply.

Not just in words… but in patience.

And love?

She didn’t believe in loud love.

She believed in loyal love.

The kind that stays. The kind that waits.

Ibrahim…

Not just a man.

A shadow with a purpose.

A spy.

Calm. Observant. Silent.

The kind of man who notices everything…

but reveals nothing.

His eyes didn’t just look—

they analyzed.

His mind didn’t just think—

it calculated.

At a young age (around mid-to-late 20s),

he had already seen things people twice his age couldn’t handle.

But despite all that…

There was one thing he could never control.

Areeba.

A/N

“Between the weight of family chains and the edge of danger, love breathes only where faith dares to protect it.”
