Chapter 1: Her Genuine Soul

As i walk past the huge gate of the Nyx Mythicorium University, I saw my friend who's talking with some new guy outside the campus. “ Oh, hi Krista!” Vanna said excitedly when i approach them, i just wave my hand and smiled sweetly. “By the way, this is Marcus”, her introducing the man beside her “my cousin” she added. Really? I exclaimed out of surprise, ”I didn't know you had a cousin, you never mentioned one” i said and started to introduce myself too “Nice to meet you, Marcus! I'm Krista Almonte “ he just stared at me intently which i find a bit weird, but nahh nevermind.
Minutes later, the sky turns gray thunder started rumbling which is a sign of a strong storm coming, I already excuse myself from Vanna and Marcus, they offer to give me a ride but i decline initiating that i have something else to do. I walked even more faster because the heavy rain started to fall, and for pete’s sake i forgot my umbrella. The lighting struck meters away from me, i got frightened soaking wet and shaking in the rain, but im more scared in the mere thinking of the situation of the older lady who lives down the alley, i run towards the direction of the alley worried about her because she doesn't have a shelter that can keep her dry and warm. I was astounded when i didn't see her in her usual spot, i tried to find her in every corner of the street but unfortunately i couldn't find her, i decided to go home already because the storm ain't getting any better and the wind is blowing violently.
