Just a Game

Those eyes that are aching and breaking,

Through layers to see me so true,

There are times where Im afraid of your smile,

And the way it runs me right through.

How do you see me so clearly?

When all that I see in myself...

the damage the past has dealt me.

And all of the pains I have felt.

While holding the hands of my lover,

My lover holding my heart,

The beauty contained in her smile,

Leaves me playing this part,

The Master of such desires,

Playing at plying a pen,

Writing down words for hours,

Not knowing where to begin.

The keeper of such great a treasure,

The smile that lights up your eyes,

The warmth that I feel in the morning,

Your lips the kiss of sunrise.

The touch of your hands like a fire,

Blazing all out of control,

Passion thats sorely been missing,

Will now be quenched in your soul.

I love you in seconds and minutes,

By inches and miles it's flows,

The skies could never contain it,

Day by day it continues to grow.

I want to grow old beside you,

Forever young in our hearts,

Our love for each other endless,

Till my last breath it will never depart.
