Summary

He befriends Marcus and Seraphina, and soon catches the attention of Lord Gray. Through his political speeches, and quick wit, Adrian earns influence in the city’s council, though he also gains enemies—most notably Sebastian Crowne, who mocks Adrian’s lack of pedigree.
