Nina Ramseyer is a brilliant storyteller
"Butcher Boys Nina Ramseyer Read the trigger warnings at the beginning and take them to heart. This is a very dark romance. Not sure exactly what it says about me but I absolutely loved it. Take a walk on the dark side with Bianca and the Butcher Boys. If you love Dexter then this is right up your alley. Bianca is a nurse, who ends up at the wrong place, wrong time. We meet Malachi first. He takes possessiveness to another level. A lot of the reverse harem books I’ve read the men generally are accepting of each other and jealousy doesn’t really come into play much, but Malachi takes it down a different path. Ethan is the fearless leader. He’s calculating and hates Bianca for stepping into their world. Jace is our golden retriever, turned Rottweiler. He is our comic relief in the darkness. I loved reading his POV. It’s a bit of a fourth wall break several times, it gives the reader a sense of being apart of the story. Caleb. Our sweet, sweet, dark, angry Caleb. He is the silent sentinel of darkness watching and calculating everything. In their madness there is order and in their chaos of Bianca being thrust into their lives is where they discover they can both be loved and love. It’s a delicious masterpiece of plot, character, tropes, tragedy and finding the place that is safe and home. If you like your romance dark, then you’ve come to the right place. Nina Ramseyer is a brilliant storyteller. I cannot wait to discover her other works of fiction. "

Extremely dark but gripping
"This is probably the darkest romance I’ve ever read, and it’s definitely not the kind of story I usually go for. Especially because the FMC doesn’t have just one love interest, she has four, and I normally lean way more toward one main guy, haha. I do love dark romance stories, but there were definitely moments where it felt a little too dark for me personally. But, and there’s a BIG but here, that didn’t stop me from loving the story. Because the writing was that good. It was seriously so well written, and all of the characters felt layered and fully developed. Nobody felt flat or thrown in just for the plot. I really loved watching the FMC slowly get past all of their walls and sort of becoming the thing holding the whole group together. I loved seeing the way their relationships grew, how they all came to love each other, and how they ended up building a life together. And once I started reading, that was it for me. I read it in one sitting because I couldn’t stop. I had to know what was going to happen next. So yeah, even though it got really dark at times and pushed me out of my comfort zone a little, I still enjoyed it so much. Super gripping, super well written, and impossible to put down."
