Prologue

Y/n left her superior’s office with a big, satisfied and excited smile.

Finally, after so much work, she had finally gotten a promotion. She was no longer a normal, mortal Playtime Co. operator.

No

Now-she-was-a-SUPERVISOR!!

Y/n refrained from shouting it out of her mind. She also refrained from dancing in public, but in her mind, she was having a real party.

Now she was going to earn more... And they were also going to take more taxes off her, but that’s not the point.

The important thing is that, finally, she could help those poor experiments.

She had discovered them by accident. Before, she thought, like the rest of the workers, that they were just statues or robots created to help. It wasn’t until one day, lost in the aisles of a new section, that she heard the truth.

Elliot Ludwig was scolding a group of scientists for allowing Huggy to escape. Also scolding them for losing several lives, saying they should “keep the experiment under control.”

Y/n remained silent as she listened to everything, then went to the bathroom to hide and try to calm down.

From that day on, she began to observe more, seeing what no one had noticed before: the expressions, the emotions that didn’t seem so artificial. She learned how to pretend she didn’t know anything, she managed to know more.

At first, she was terrified; she wanted to go to the police, but she soon realized what the company does to those who know too much.

It wasn’t her turn, but a colleague who didn’t know how to go unnoticed. They sent him to Boxy, and he never came back.

Y/n discovered things. And she knew that if she wanted to do something, she would have to do it right.

She also discovered the (quite justified) hatred the experiments had for the employees, even the innocent. So Y/n resolved to do something for them, to show them that not all of them were bad, that she could help them.

There was only one way to do it. So she worked and worked for a long time, working overtime, learning and observing her supervisors, looking for a way to rise in rank within the factory. Looking for more power to protect herself and be able to do something to help those poor children.

And finally, after two long years, she had succeeded.

There would be a lot to do. Maybe she couldn’t help everyone at once, maybe she couldn’t get them all out right away, maybe not for a long time, but she was determined. She was going to help everyone with the power she had now.

She had to be careful; she had to do things right so they wouldn’t suspect. (And she certainly had to pray a lot for divine protection on this dangerous path.)

But she was determined. As a supervisor, she would save as many as she could.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
