Chapter 1 Childhood memories

My name is Yeona, ...

I live with my mom and dad in a small house near the market. My mom is a housewife — she takes care of everything at home, from cooking warm meals to scolding me when I’m lazy but always give me lot of love for her iam her world . My dad works in a company, and though he comes home tired, he never forgets to ask about my day. Sometimes I feel like I don’t say “thank you” enough, but I truly admire them whenever dad come back home he hug him and said whenever i hug my princess i forget all problems. Whenever its weakend come we play together.Iam feel so lucky to have parents like them i can't imagine my life without them ..

Iam used to close with grandfather he make me laugh he was safest place for me iam not much closer with grandmother she is strict and never treat me like iam her granddaughter she always scold me iam scared of grandmother still i love her ... After grandfather dead i hate god ...

My grandfather was more than just a grandparent—he was my secret world. His hands, rough and strong from years of shaping wood into delicate toys and furniture, always seemed to carry a quiet magic. I used to sit for hours watching him carve, each chip of wood falling like a note in a gentle melody only he could hear. After finishing, he’d sell his creations in the little market nearby, yet no amount of money could measure the value of the lessons he left behind.

He had a way of seeing the dreams hidden in me long before I even noticed them myself. Whenever I mimicked actresses I saw on TV, twirling or speaking lines with all the drama I could muster, he would clap with that warm, proud smile that could light up the gloomiest day. “One day, my love,” he’d say, his eyes glinting like polished amber, “you will become an actor, and I’ll be right there, cheering for you.”

Grandfather wasn’t just close to me—he was my first audience, my mentor, my cheerleader, and my safe haven. Even now, I feel his presence whenever I perform, as if his hands are still applauding, reminding me that he always believed in me.

I always thought I was only meant to be close to my family for a lifetime—my parents, my grandfather, the little world I had always known. But one ordinary afternoon, the doorbell rang, and everything changed. Standing at the doorstep was a beautiful woman with a smile that could light up the darkest room, a good-looking man beside her, and a boy around my age. They were my new neighbors, and they came bearing sweets.

Over time, our two families grew inseparable. It felt as if we were always meant to be connected, even though not by blood. The lady, whose name was Seohyun, was the sweetest person I had ever met. She treated me like her own daughter, and I couldn’t help but call her Mom. She would always cook for me, laugh with me, and share stories like we were long-lost family. She quickly became my mother’s best friend, and together they were inseparable—like sisters reunited after years apart.

The man, Jinwoo, was strikingly handsome—honestly, sometimes I even thought he was more handsome than my dad. He and my father became fast friends, working together in the office and sharing jokes I didn’t always understand. For me, though, he was a hero of my childhood: he always brought toys, candies, and little surprises that made me feel special.

I felt incredibly lucky to have gained this new family, a family that welcomed me with open arms. But not everyone in this story was a blessing. Standing slightly apart, with that arrogant smirk and teasing eyes, was Kyngwoo—my biggest enemy. We had a four-year age gap, and somehow, every encounter with him made me wish I could stop time and punch him without anyone know. He was clever, mischievous, and annoyingly persistent—the kind of person who could make you hate and respect him all at once. And yet, little did I know, he would become a part of my life more than I ever expected.....now you think why i hate kyungwoo ( take deep breaths) here your answer...

People often say childhood memories are sweet. But for me, mine began with someone who ruined the most precious thing I had."

I was only six when Kungwoo first walked into my house. His mother had come to visit my parents, holding the hand of a boy four years older than me. I remember hiding behind my mother’s skirt, peeking at him.

Yeona’s Mother: “This is Mrs. Choi and her son, Kungwoo. Say hello, Yeona.”

Yeona (shyly): “...Hello.”

Kungwoo (smirking): “She’s so small.”

He looked around curiously, touching everything in sight until his eyes fell on the wooden toy horse sitting on the table. That horse wasn’t just a toy—it was carved by my grandfather with his wrinkled hands, the last gift he gave me before he passed away.

Yeona (running forward): “Don’t touch that! It’s mine!”

Kungwoo (grinning): “It’s just a toy.”

Before I could stop him, he grabbed it, swinging it carelessly. The next second, it slipped from his hand and fell—breaking one of its legs.

My heart shattered with it.

Yeona (screaming): “NO! You broke it! Grandpa made it for me!”

Tears blurred my vision, but before I could cry harder, my mother pulled me back.

Yeona’s Mother (scolding): “Yeona! Don’t shout like that. He didn’t mean it. Apologize for raising your voice.”

Yeona (angrily): “But it’s his fault! He broke it!”

Kungwoo stood there awkwardly, his lips pressing into a thin line. But instead of apologizing, he only muttered—

Kungwoo: “I told you... it’s just a toy.”

That was the day I decided—I hated Choi Kungwoo.

Yeona (narrating): My mom didn’t see. She only scolded me. Nobody knew how much I loved that toy… how much I missed my grandfather.

Scene – Dinner table

After he broke my toy my mom call him for eat rice ...

Kungwoo happily ate rice and side dishes, not caring at all.

Yeona (narrating): He ate like nothing happened. My toy lay broken. My heart was broken. And he… he was chewing kimchi!

I glared at him, my cheeks puffed like a balloon.

Yeona: muttering “Monster boy…”

Kungwoo looked at her and grinned with his mouth full.

Yeona: suddenly stands, runs over, and pulls his hair “Yaah! Bad boy!”

Kungwoo: yelps “Ow ow ow! Let go! Ajummmaa, she’s crazy!”

Kungwoo’s mom: shocked “Omo! This child—!”

Yeona’s dad: serious voice “Yeona! To your room. Now.”

Yeona: shakes head, still tugging hair “Not until he says sorry!”

Dad: gently but firmly pulls her away “Yeona. Enough.”

Scene – Yeona’s room

Yeona (narrating): My dad never scolded me… but that day, he did. All because of him.

I slammed the door shut and buried my face in the pillow. My tears burned my cheeks.

Yeona: muttering “I hate him. I hate him more than homework. From today… Kim Kungwoo is my enemy forever.”
