Shadows of the Entrance
10 years ago, Vincent practically couldn't believe it, It has now been exactly ten years since he has worked at Playtime Co. but... Why is he only now suddenly getting a letter from his past workplace? He has just received a letter, whoever wrote it is asking, no, not asking. He rereads the sentence. It's demanding that he comes back to the location.
Vincent left his job for many reasons, but one of those reasons was because he despised the man Elliot Ludwig. He had to make sure he was the biggest toy company in the city, make sure that no one could surpass him no matter their talents, so what does he do to make sure that his dreams will succeed? Making Robotic life sized toys. That was Vincent's second reason. Toys are for kids and adults. It doesn't matter about their age, the perfect size for them to hold the toy without it being too heavy for them or too big for their small hands. They wouldn't be too hold it with two hands or drag it along the playground. Why does Elliot Ludwig have the need to make them as a robotic piece of metal for the entertainment of the public? It was a dangerous dream of his, for both the public and the employees the chances are never low. He knew that.
This is why he left, but now Vincent's mind won't stop running in circles with questions. Why are they now only writing to him? After all this time he doesn't even know who was the one who wrote or sent the letter. No name was written or even an address was visible.
"EVERYONE THINKS THE STAFF DISAPPEARED 10 YEARS AGO.
WE'RE STILL HERE.
FIND THE FLOWER."
'Find the flower' that was the only line underlined and what seemed like to be over lined one too many times, trying to get their point across on the paper. A poppy has been drawn underneath.
Are they meaning with this letter to find Poppy... as in the doll? What does the doll have to do with any of this?
Its odd, Vincent knew in the papers back in 1995 that everyone quite literally disappeared, no sign of where they were or where they could've gone. Playtime Co. the same day was shut down, Family members and friends of both the employees or visitors on that very day were given no answers to any of their questions, "Where did they go?", "You need to find XXXXX!" The police didn't do anything.
Case was closed.
Vincent didn't take long to put his boots on, car keys and of course, phone. His job was to greet those at the front door, only knowing of the robot Huggy Wuggy up close. And with his poor memory it is the only part he remembers about Playtime Co. Why was he receiving this letter anyway? It's 2005 now... 10 years since the incident and only know this anonymous person wants to give him a letter? He has too many questions that have no answers.
He arrived.
Vincent got out of his car, staring towards the building. Rusted on the walls and overgrown grass and many more unknown plants around the area. He stood there for a few seconds, taking it all back in. He remembers coming here almost every morning at 5. Having to clock in and start work. Thankfully he quit a decade ago, he wouldn't have known how to deal with a routine like that now.
He goes to the doors, standing there as he pushes on the bar to open it. the tiles are dirty and shown that it hadn't been cleaned in the decade. the wall that was hand painted of the toy Huggy Wuggy was peeling away and chipping.
He has to find Poppy.
