In the medieval era, where magic and fantasy intertwined with reality, it was a night of the full moon. But this was no ordinary night-the moon hung abnormally large in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the land. Heavy rain poured relentlessly, drenching the earth and obscuring the world in a veil of mist and shadow.
Through the storm, a man emerged, cloaked in a tattered robe, his face hidden beneath the hood. In his arms, he carried a lifeless four-year-old child, unconscious and gravely wounded. The man’s labored breaths and staggering steps betrayed his own injuries, yet he pressed on, driven by some desperate purpose. Was he protecting the child, or was he the one who had taken the child against their will? The answer remained shrouded in mystery.
Exhausted, the man stumbled upon a large tree and paused for a moment, leaning against its trunk for support. But his respite was short-lived. The distant clatter of armor and the shouts of soldiers echoed through the night-they were closing in. Panic surged through him as he realized he had been spotted. With renewed determination, he clutched the child tighter and began to run once more, his strength waning with every step.
As he fled, a chilling realization dawned on him: the soldiers were searching for *him*, not the child. The child was not their target. Desperation guided his next move. Spotting a large rock formation, he carefully laid the unconscious child beneath it, shielding the boy from the relentless rain. With trembling hands, he covered the makeshift shelter with another rock, ensuring the child remained hidden and dry.
Then, with a final glance at the boy, the man turned and ran in the opposite direction, deliberately drawing the soldiers away. His footsteps faded into the storm, and the child was left alone, safe but abandoned.
