Prologue
Since the dawn of time, there have been opposite forces that perpetually dominate the cosmos.
From chaos, comes order
In darkness, there is light.
Life ends in death.
Day followed by night.
A cycle repeating,
Rhythm of never-ending.
The balance of light and darkness is eternally kept by the goddesses Alnur and Nox. Alnur, the goddess of light and life, guides the souls from the afterlife back to the mortal realm. Nox, the goddess of darkness and death, harvests the souls of the departed and sends them to the afterlife.
Both goddesses’ duties are designed in an eternal cycle.
One could not exist without the other...
Alnur and Nox,
Bound in an endless cycle.
Yet the circle was broken
By mortal desires.
Alnur descended to the mortal world and pitied the dying humans in an unnatural cause. She dared to perform a miracle that ultimately saved the mundane mortals. Until...
Alnur met a unique mortal,
Driven with pure ambition.
Her search for eternal life,
Already set in motion.
Upon witnessing Alnur being captured by a mere mortal. Nox was furious and reigned terror upon the humans. Seeing the humans that Alnur tried to save, Nox was struck with great regret and sadness. She needs Alnur back without hurting the other mortals. Nox will put judgment into her own hands upon that rogue of a human. Nox traversed into the mortal realm to find Alnur and bring her back to the cosmos. The mortal realm caused Nox’s powers to wane as time passed.
Before Nox falls into slumber,
Reapers sprouted from her anger.
Her Alnur - she promised to find,
Vows that transcend time.
The balance was lost, and the world fell into chaos. The Reapers, which are manifested from Nox’s anger, spread terror upon the mortal realm. Humans were destined to perish, but their resilience prevailed.
Nox hoped for a miracle to occur,
To search the world once more.
And return to the cosmos above.
Hailing Alnur, her eternal love.
