Chapter 1

Booting up the computer. The familiar sound of the BIOS chime, the whirring of fans, a few unsettling clicks from the hard drive.

I let out a heavy sigh and leaned back in my chair, feeling my muscles finally loosen a little after a long day of work.

At last… — I muttered, rubbing my face with both hands. — Finally I can take a break from work and focus on something important. My simulation.

I glanced at the monitor with a mix of hope and irritation.— Let’s hope it doesn’t crash this time… I grumbled. — How many times can this happen?

The hardware was barely holding on. The fans screamed like tiny jet engines, and I had the impression the computer was running only on duct tape and sheer willpower.

I should buy a new one, I sighed. — But it’s a waste of money. As long as it works, it’s fine.

[A click from the monitor, a flash across the screen.]

I froze. My heartbeat spiked. After a moment, I exhaled in relief.

Ha! It loaded. — I almost smiled. — Alright… let’s go.

Lines of code scrolled down the screen like a waterfall of green letters. Everything looked good. No errors, no crashes.

I reached for the VR headset. The cool plastic in my hands sent a shiver of excitement through me.

Time to see what it feels like to be a god.

The world exploded before me in color.

The sky was a blue so deep it seemed endless. Mountains loomed in the distance, their peaks swallowed by mist. The grass rippled beneath my feet like a green sea, and the air smelled of moisture and fire, as if nature itself here was alive in a way our world had never known.

Chills ran down my spine.

Damn… this is beautiful.

The menu unfolded before me like a hologram, golden letters glowing in the air. My nickname flashed at the top. Everything ran smoothly, without a hitch.

Good. Time for the real test.

[KOMMAND: Summon “Katana – Emperor’s Tear”]

Space shattered like glass. A katana appeared in my hand. The blade gleamed like a burning crystal, its glow reflected in my eyes. The hilt was cold, heavy, perfectly balanced.

I swung it. The air hissed, as if I had sliced through the very fabric of reality.

Ha! Nice. Legendary drop works, buffs too. — I grinned. — I’ll fix the balance later, for now it’s way too strong.

But it was time for something bigger.

Alright. Let’s create the gods.

[KOMMAND: Summon — Ares, Poseidon, Zeus, Hera, Illa]

The air trembled like during a storm. The ground shook beneath me, lightning split the sky.

Ares was the first to appear. Crimson armor, a sword blazing like a star, eyes burning with fury. His very presence felt like standing on a battlefield.

Next came Poseidon, surrounded by crashing waterfalls. In his hand gleamed a trident, while the roar of waves echoed around him.

Then Zeus appeared, lightning clenched in his fist, majestic and terrifying. When his gaze met mine, my heart trembled like it had been struck by thunder.

Hera followed — goddess of nature. Green hair, body wrapped in vines, the scent of forest and flowers washing over me.

Finally, Illa — goddess of light. Brightness radiated from her so strongly I had to shield my eyes. She was like a living sun, and yet emanated serenity.

I stood there, goosebumps covering my skin.

Beautiful… and this is only the beginning.

[KOMMAND: Summon HelperAI]

A sphere of blue light appeared beside me, pulsing and humming like a machine’s breath.

At your service, Creator.

Give the gods intelligence. Skills. Personalities. Let them plot, fight, form alliances and conflicts. Give each a weapon. Make them independent beings.

Confirmed. Estimated time: ten minutes.

My heart pounded like a hammer. I could already see the world beginning to take shape… and this was only the first step.
