The girl who lived
Vernon and Petunia Dursley with spoiled son Dudley, the most average basic British middle class, you could find. They lived in a house number 4 in a Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey, England. One day, there was a tabby cat outside the house watching the house thoroughly. Vernon and Petunia were trying to get the cat to leave in their utter pettiness, but she didn't move at all. After multiple failed attempts they went inside as if they were insulted. Yes, this family was so arrogant and so full of themselves, that they got insulted by an animal.
At night interesting things began to happen. An old man with long white hair and beard wearing crescent shaped glasses, a small pointy hat and robes all coloured dark red almost brown was walking down the street. He pulled out a device looking like a lighter, he aimed at one of the lamps and activated the lighter. It pulled the light out of the lamp, he did this with all the lamps nearby and then put the lighter back.
At that moment the cat, who was still there meowed at him. He turned to her and said: "It could've come to my mind, that you'll be here. Professor McGonagall." The cat walked forward a bit and then turned into a person. A woman, who looked like a witch, a bit intimidating, but a good one. She said: "Good evening, professor Dumbledore. Is it true, what's being said Albus?" Dumbledore answered as they were both walking: "Unfortunately yes professor. The good and the bad." McGonagall said: "And the girl?" Albus said: "Hagrid will bring her here." McGonagall was a bit shocked: "You think it's wise, to entrust Hagrid with something so important?" Albus said: "Professor, I would entrust Hagrid with my own life." As he said that a motorcycle appeared in the sky and landed on the street. The driver was a man twice the size of a normal person. He got off. "Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall." Dumbledore said: "You didn't have any problems Hagrid?" "No sir, that little miss fell asleep, just as we flew over Bristol. Try not to wake her up. Here she is." And he gave the baby to Dumbledore. McGonagall said worrying: "Albus, do you think it's safe, to leave her with those people. I've been watching them all day. They are the muggles of the worst kind. I'm being serious." Dumbledore objected: "She has no one else." McGonagall said: "That girl will be famous. There won't be a child in our world to not know her name." Dumbledore nodded: "Exactly. It'll be better, if she grows up outside of it all. Until she's ready." He put the baby down at the doorstep at the Dursleys' house and placed a letter on her informing the family, that the baby lost her parents and needs a home with her only family members. The baby girl had a huge scratch in the shape of a lightning on her forehead. Dumbledore said: "Good luck. Holly Potter."
It was exactly as McGonagall predicted. The family accepted Holly, however they were treating her horribly. Every misstep was met with severe beating and being starved. Aunt Petunia could not even look at her. Something about Holly just disgusted Petunia for unknown reason. At school it was not much better. Holly was forced to wear the cheapest, ugliest clothes ever and for this, she was bullied heavily. She did not even have her own room. She was forced to sleep in a cupboard under the stairs. This made Holly very silent. She wouldn't speak for days. She never smiled nor laughed. Whenever she asked why she had no parents, the answer was that her parents died in a car crash.
