Chapter 1

Set the Sun on Fire

passion prose

Sun senses something is about to happen

Reem dream of you

Seeing you in shadows of the moon

Shades in turquoise days of bleeding hearts raiding my mind

In body and soul, I feel her encompassing the light shrouded in mystery and suspense

Then turning around to face me

I’m embarrassed but I look into her dark brown eyes

Gypsy blood Eastern European

Spirit of the Enchantress

Zhelya

Zeus wants to know what her name is

Gashing gnashing — my gut — instinct — squark quark — quirk jerky stuttering chattering incessantly through a lecture

Tripping on sand banks — picking pods while walking the wilds

A fierce force fuses the lamp out blasting onto a bottle of wine — Sauvignon red

Blinding drunk —

Bite me in the night I think

Crack back hack pack a punch hunch is a stranger intruder in the house

Crash clang crack — clangour goes a broken window pane as she creeps up on the crown of the bed —impenetrable confidential sworn in by me

I am lying sleeping until I see you clearly

Solvent glass glazing globes — stella rays incandescent — Fluttering heart beating ninety miles an hour

Days of winding roads and heaven up here kisses

Rips lips like sugar tips sips on my skin

This trip of life and death

Now I can’t get enough of her

Scent of rich sandalwood candles — their scant flame dissipating

An orange glow giving out a fluorescent fog-fazing glaze

Blinding drunk —

Bite me in the night I think

Let me wine and dine you

Heathers panthers

Feathers on my leather jacket

Tethers her onto it

Twins of the mean mean moon

Shine so hard

Afterwards joyful laughter

Light tripping through a gap in the doorway always ajar now

Stars chatoyant peeking a

Luna loony limbo leaving languidly Living rooms alight with gleaming glitter gloss

Give me your head with goat’s cheese and crackers

Celestial cyan lavender

Linting lyrical love in delrays of Bonding blinding bliss

Dream of you too many times over the course of the week

Hounded by a friend who has an interest in my affairs

Asks too many questions so I cut him off midway —

Guess you have to learn somehow

Hover over the tub as you wash your feet

Kiss nip slip away from the sun to look at the moon

Glowing passing through the Milkyway of time

That’s all we have — time

Time to talk tomorrow or tonight before the new day begins I'm scared of the future

Please stay and turn your back towards me

Let me hold your lower spine curve line

Time deceives us every minute

It's a race to keep up

Today I can't find her

It was only dawn light unbright upright I sit here thinking hard about the time that has disappeared from me

I thought I had a grip on it

Time took me and her and tore us apart

Today I saw nobody but myself in the mirror

I smashed it into tiny pieces

So angry it shattered out

The truth of what time really does

Tomorrow is the day

It took her away from me
