Hello!
🍃
It was deceptive. The green of the forest was bright.
The sun was round and calling me.
I couldn’t help but walk.
As the world drew closer to my eyes I clung to something. I had even forgotten what I had seen. My head was spinning.
I walked to the garden. I sat in our field next to the forest.
Even though the sun was close to setting it was so round so bright through the trees that I couldn’t take my eyes off it.
As I stood there watching it felt as if someone was looking at me. When my eyes turned to them I ran back inside the house in embarrassment.
The other night I was sitting by the fire. When the fear that filled me returned, I lifted my head. I saw him again.
Even though it looked at me with a gentle expression I quickly went inside the house.
The next morning looking out the window I couldn’t remember if it had been a dream.
When I went outside my foot touched a piece of paper. I picked it up. It was writing, similar to a sentence, but in a different alphabet.
My brows furrowed as I went inside to try to figure it out.
There was nothing. No information.
It was an alphabet with flowers and branches. I wanted to decipher it but I couldn’t understand.
My heart was racing.
When I turned my gaze my heartbeat didn’t stop and I saw them.
Pigeons. White pigeons.
On my window.
As I stepped outside again I wanted to feed them. I didn’t understand why they had perched so low. Thinking one had hit a tree I reflexively walked quickly and saw him in the forest.
While the pigeon flew safely I took a step back.
“Hello.” He swallowed and looked at me.
I knew there were houses in the forest so seeing someone was normal but I didn’t understand why I had been embarrassed and afraid last night.
He was tall slightly muscular. The most handsome face I had ever seen. His clothes hugged his body and were suitable for the forest.
With the tall trees around us he spoke again.
“Did you get the note?”
“Note? I didn’t understand that.”
“Ah… I tried to draw flowers and apologize. My writing is bad. I’m sorry I guess i scared you”
It felt like a huge lie and my brows furrowed.
“I’m eating. Do you want to join?”
“Do you live here?” I asked while he is looking me.
“Hm. I don’t have many friends.”
When he sat on a small hill he took the bread in his hand.
“I made it.”
“I’m full,thank you.”
When another pigeon flew my brows furrowed again.
It had flown and disappeared from sight.
The pigeons seemed to go only to a certain place as if that was their true home.
“Our home used to be deeper in the forest. I don’t have friends around here.” When he talked again i nodded
“Then why…?”
“My mother missed the city.” I nodded.
“Can we be friends?”
He was the most handsome boy I had ever seen. When he smiled I had the same thought again in my mind.
“If we meet again… have a good day.”
I walked quickly. When I entered my room, I took deep breaths.
Heavy rains fell.
The moon was bright.
Wrapped in my blanket I just fell asleep.
