Chapter 1- Homecoming
After Silan’s release from the hospital, they return to their small apartment perched above the rooftops of Bangkok. The world seems calm—almost unnervingly so. Tor moves with a newfound gentleness. Silan’s laughter has returned. And yet, both of them know: the silence is only an illusion.
Silan has taken up painting once more, while Tor spends his evenings working in a new bar. By day, they sleep tangled in sheets that carry the scent of cigarettes, sweat, and forgiveness. But there is one thing Silan cannot admit: the nightmares that leave him waking in blood.
