I am not into Romance:

"I am not really one for romantic stories, which in it’s self is strange as I do consider my self an old style romantic guy who loves to give my wife flowers as often as I can (she is allergic to chocolate). However I like this authors easy going style that captures the main characters general shyness but also her daring after a few drinks. I will look forward to the progression of this story. I said I would look forward to the stories progression and after reading the second chapter I am in deed glad that I came back to it. The author in a touch of classic slapstick humour gave the female lead one of those really bad mornings where so much is expected but it all goes wrong for her. The taking of one school board meeting and presenting it from the differing perspectives of the two main characters was brilliantly executed, the “like what, WTF” double take of the lead character against the confidence of the competition for the job she wanted was done in such a skilful way that I can only hope I can emulate that talent of craftmanship one day. I have added this story to my reading list and I recommend this story to all lovers of romantic fiction, not something as I said earlier I am really into, but the writing style, the characters and the story really drew me in and I am so glad I decided to broaden my reading categories. It certainly makes a change to my usual reading habits of westerns, thrillers, horror and science fiction, in fact I think it is the first romantic story I have read since reading Jayne Eyre, Wuthering Hieghts and Lorna Doone as a ten year old boy over fifty years ago.
