I Wish

Darling! My mom called me from the kitchen. “Its time to go to school!”. Ok mom im coming I shouted with exhaustion. I come down the stairs slowly with my warm blanket wrapped around me. The smell of pancakes fill the room. It was my very first day of School. Being a fifth grader was great you were the oldest in elementary everyone respected you. I knew that this was going to be the best year ever. As i get off the stairs i rush to a seat and grab the pancakes and poor the maple syrup over them. After i ate breakfast my mom drove me to school. I went to my first period and thats where i found my friends Veronica, Joanne, and Stacy they were my best friends i did everything with them. This summer we didnt really hangout though.They seemed different. More mature I guess you could say. I shyly brushed past Mrs. Farrow and standed astray behind stacy. Thats when i over heard them talking about the movies. I paused and stopped looking cofused when did yall go i asked glimly. Veronica let out a sigh “sorry kate we went this summer” i replied with a slight shakey voice “oh why didnt you invite me?” Veronica bursted into a excuse but eventually she told that she just wanted to hang out with stacy and joanne. She urged me not to take it personally but they were closer with each other and they didnt want to invite me because of my beleifs. And that’s when it hit me all this time they lied to me they pretened to be my friends but they never liked my family or me even though we believe in Christianity i never thought that was the reason they never invited over this summer.
